Terrible management that alienates the local community which makes up a considerable amount of its business The Big 5 on Kipling has an oversized parking lot, which up until yesterday was used as an overflow lot for the residents at the adjacent apartment complex. The parking lot was never more than a third of the way full on its busiest days, however management has decided to start towing cars parked in the lot that arent shopping in the store. This has caused a large inconvenience to the people living in the apartment complex, as we now have to park 3-4 times farther when the apartment lots fill up. It is their right to regulate who can park in their lot, however it is also my right to not shop there anymore. I used to shop there often for ammunition and camping gear, however I will not spend a single penny more with this store.

I used to go to this store all the time for all my out door needs because I live in the apartments close by. one night the parking lot was full at the apartment (around 9:00 at night) so I parked in the back corner of their lot knowing it would probably be fine as I leave for work early in the morning. I went back out around 9:30 because I left something In my car and found my car to be gone. I went inside and the employees where very rude and immature to me and told me that they had my car towed because it was effecting their customers ability to park. As I left I could see them laughing inside like this was some kind of joke. it cost me $320 to get my car back.

Used to go into this big 5 all the time, buy ammo, shoes, cleats, and workout clothes. Today I went in, did not see anything I wanted to purchase. So I left and walked to Jack in the Box which is located in the same lot. I came out and my car was gone, and the juvenile staff was watching in the windows, pointing and laughing as I tried to make sense of the situation. As a formerly regular customer, I will no longer be purchasing anything from any Big 5 location again. I will also advise my close friends and family to do the same, seeing as we all live by, and go to the location off Kipling.

They marked item at one price when I checked out it was at a higher price. The price was clearly marked but when rang up more is was 25% more. I didnt notice this until later. Went back trying to get the difference refunded. Got the run around and only offered store credit. Crappy store more interested in proclaiming their store policies than providing value and good customer service. Im not going back there so they lost a lot of future business. I have three kids under 10 years old. From my experience beware of deceptive pricing practices at this store!

Ive been looking for BOB punching bag since I saw it at Dicks Sporting Goods. They however did not have one in stock and only offered me a 10% discount on the beat up floor model. I in the first place thought that it was a bit overpriced. I came in to check it out to Big 5 and asked, right off the bat, if they would be able to do a discount for me, which they did. They knocked a good 30% off a brand new boxed up BOB and thus will now have my priority every time over Dicks.

The employees at this location are difficult, which is irritating, as this is a convenient store to go to. Though because of the immature staff, several cars were towed after hours. For no apparent reason other than for a cheap laugh by the employees. This is probably one of the worst experiences Ive seen of store employees, and would recommend that no one go to this store, because you will most likely be faced with immature workers.

This was my first visit to Big 5. It was okay - small and easy to get in and out of, but a little too small when youre really needing a sports store. We went in because we needed a particular item for hunting and didnt want to drive across town to Sportsmans Warehouse. Its cool they even have a hunting section, but its very limited, so we still had to go over to Sportsmans.

2nd time Ive been to this store because of coupons they put out there and they refuse to use them. Today the lady wouldnt even look at it she heard me say coupon and right away said we cant use a coupon on your order. Umm why. Because Nike said so. Well maybe it should say nike under exclusions. I dont think Ill be back.

Small sports store with lots of inventory squished in. Couldnt find shoes for my tots here. I was very uneasy w/staff hovering or following me around while I browsed. I even had them hold items I was buying at the counter so my hands wouldnt be full. It was extremely distracting and uncomfortable.

This Big 5 had a decent selection of baseball equipment for my son. I do have to say tho I was very turned off by the way the employees were following be around like I was a thief. I was extremely offended.

It is hard to shop here because you never know what products they are going to have. That being said, there are good deals to be found. Hit or miss but sometimes it is worth it.
