Another wonderful year attending the Earthknack Gathering! These folks are so knowledgeable and excited to educate anyone who shows interest. I was only able to attend for the day, but it was so fun and educational! I went on a tour of the Audubon Society and learned about birds and plants, went on a very cool tour of an old Mammoth dig site, learned about flintknapping, and got to try out spear throwing! What a fun-filled, interesting, and anything but ordinary day out of the office! If you want an experience of a lifetime, I highly recommend participating in Earthknack :)

The first class was more than I expected! We got right into it and spent the next 3 hours full steam ahead! I couldnt have asked for a better experience....and the price of the class??? Come on! It cant get any more affordable for learning how to lay down the basics in blacksmithing and start honing skills. If you are serious about learning blacksmithing, this class is perfect. I signed up for the next class immediately following the first. Plenty of one on one training. Thanks Drover!

My 12-year old son and I took the blacksmith knife making class, it was a great time for us to spend together swinging hammers and "playing with fire". Drover answered all our questions and was more than patient with the class. Based on what we learned I now feel very confident that I have the basic tools/knowledge to start blacksmithing in our own garage. We highly recommend the class.

Drover is one of the best teachers I have had. He brakes things down, making even the most complicated processes seem simple. He allows and encourages personal initiative, and gives as much teacher-to-student instruction as you are comfortable with. I have had him as a teacher in blacksmithing, as well as brain-tanning.
