Theres another book store in town! Local Editions is a fine new place to find all kinds of books by Longmont and Colorado authors. The shop is unassuming and unlikely because it shares space with the owner Rons tax planning office. Walking in the first time I was pleasantly surprised to find a book store in that space. I was intrigued to stay awhile. The featured works are well displayed, and its easy to pick them up, and read a bit. Clearly Rons a book lover, and his shop is a most welcome addition to Longmont. Pay a visit soon.

I am a Boulder author and am thrilled that Longmont now has a bookstore that showcases local authors. As a book lover, I always feel like a kid in a candy store in a bookstore, and this one is all by Colorado authors. What a treat. Ive given one well-attended book talk there for Rosa Blooms, and will be giving a talk on Alpine Achievement next winter. Ron is a pleasure to work with and is obviously living one of his passions by offering this local venue. Drop in for a cup of coffee and to browse the many offerings.

Local Editions is to bookstores what tasting rooms are to Colorado craft beer - a cozy spot that lets readers sample 100 local authors creations. Vibes low-key; surroundings, serene - and wonderfully quirky – as the store is housed in the front of owner Ron Vejrosteks tax planning office. Coffee and tea $1 ... and you can meet the authors each Wed at a free reading event. If you love books, small biz and what makes Longmont a great small town, ya gotta stop in! :)

Ron is a wonderful person, helpful and caring. This shop is a really interesting endeavor, designed to help local authors find outlets for their work in a mass-market world where they often get lost in the shuffle. Its a small store with the books arranged by title with covers facing out. Give them a try - you might get interested in a book youd otherwise never have noticed.

With a wonderful selection showcasing local authors work, Local Editions features books in almost every genre imaginable from fiction and poetry to memoir, new age and much more. Youre sure to find what youre looking for (and more) in this great little store. And the coffees tasty too! Thank you, Local Editions for supporting local artists. Hope this starts a trend!

What a unique idea! Thanks Ron for inviting local authors like me to have a place to showcase our books. It is small enough to be able to easily browse the many eclectic titles and friendly enough that you can sit and read and have a cup of coffee. I highly recommend that you stop by and take a look when you are in Longmont.

Local Editions is a wonderful gem of a shop offering all kinds of books by Colorado authors, accompanied by hot coffee and a friendly atmosphere. The store frequently hosts events featuring readings and signings by authors. Be sure to ask owner Ron Vejrostek about his excellent personal finance book, "Financially Intact."
