Service is poor (when you can find someone). When information is required on a product/service the employees have little/no experience in the inquired, or any related, fields. The employees are not "happy to help" customers. It seems that customers are burdens to them (with the exception of a Polynesian that greets you). Ive received wrong information so much that I started to test the quality of the answers provided by the employees (surprise, very few of them were correct). Every other hardware store, Ace, Lowes, etc... hire trained and experience employees who can give you a step by step and are knowledgeable of local building codes. Sometimes, because employees are very hard to find, I helped other customers and they always tell me that Ive been the most help they have ever received at this store. The prices are higher for products/services than compared to nearly any other similar hardware store. Lowes for example, have better quality products and are less expensive. Home Depot had 10 strawberry seedlings for ~$9 (the product, all of them, when opened had slime molds), Lowes had 12 strawberry seedlings for ~$4 (and they were beautiful, and they had a larger variety). The plants are weak across the board. I only have 1 of dozens of plants I purchased from Home Depot that survived past a few months after purchase. Almost every plant I purchased from any other nursery (especially from Happy Life Gardens) thrive. Greeley Home Depot is an absolutely miserable place. The employees have no pride in there work (at least, any that is recognizable). The store is a mess, yes it is a hardware store, but the products should at least be in the proper place with price tags (the labels are often incorrect). The store feels dismal when you walk in, due to poor displays and overwhelming over stock. The floors can at least be swept more often. For example, go to Ace and look at there displays they are light and make sense, or go to Lowes who also uses over stock, the aisles are still well lit and seem open. And, both of the latter mentioned stores are always clean, the employees are happy, knowledgeable, and friendly. Just go to another store; better products, better prices, better people, and you will thank yourself at the end of the day.

I wish I could give this a zero star rating. First off, I bought a Hampton Bay 10 ft. x 10 ft. Solar LED Lighted Gazebo. I have not had this canopy for a year yet, and it has shredded and bent IN THE RAIN. It wasnt a heavy, windy rain either, it was a light spring rain. Naturally, my husband and I were upset, and were fully willing to pay for replacement parts (although normally, home depot is great with free replacements). So I call the home depot Hampton Bay replacement line to see how much this is all going to cost. I thought I could get a cost estimate, and either order parts, or just get a new canopy. Basically after a discussion with a wonderful girl named Danna, I got transferred over to a parts and service rep, who started reading off some prices of how much it would cost to me, and then she says "Oh wait, can I put you on hold for a minute?" I say yes, and she comes back and tells me I need to email all the parts I need, and then they can get back to me with a cost estimate. I asked why and am told that Mondays and Tuesdays are for warranty issues only, and she cant tell me the prices to save time. I then ask her if the numbers are right in front of her, and she says yes they are, but she cant tell me them. I now would have to waste more of my time emailing the same things that she already knew and had pricing right in front of her for just to have that company waste more time pulling everything up AGAIN, and telling me. Aside from the fact that this policy is absolutely absurd, and that the lady wasted more time talking to me and adding more inconvenience for both parties to the situation, I cant believe that Home Depot could actually treat customers like this. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM HOME DEPOT AGAIN BECAUSE THEY ARE INCONVENIENT, AND HORRIBLE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. I will be telling all of my freinds and family about this as and encourage them not to buy from Home Depot as well. I told this to the lady I talked to and told her to tell her manager the same thing. Altogether, a horrible product to wear like that in a light rain, and a horrible customer service experience=a lost customer for life.

The Home Depot usually has what we need for a project and they have a decent selection to choose from for most items. Unfortunately, if you are having trouble finding something or need any help while shopping, that is when you run into trouble. You literally have to walk all over the store trying to find someone who works there to help you and usually when you do find someone, they are trying to assist several customers already so you end up having to wait a while before they can help you. Then a lot of times the response is that they dont have an answer for you or dont know where an item is because they dont work in that department and they say they will have an associate that covers that department come talk to you which leads to more waiting. The employees are usually polite, the store is just understaffed and the employees seem to be overwhelmed. On our most recent visit we needed to have a piece of wood cut and after locating what we wanted and spending another 15 minutes trying to find someone to help us we were told that the guy that worked in the lumber area had 2 other people to help and then theyd send him over to us. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes to have a piece of wood cut. Then we had to wait about another 10 minutes in line to pay because there were not a lot of registers open and there was a bottleneck of people trying to check out, so something that should have taken maybe 15 minutes tops took us about an hour and 15 minutes to accomplish. Adding more employees so we could get the help we need when shopping would change our middle of the road 3 star rating to 5 stars.

We work at an Ace Hardware in town. We know what customer service is supposed to be like. This Home Depot is one of the worst Ive ever seen when it comes to service!! If we could go negative on a rating we would. All we needed was a shower and shower walls and we were told that it would be at least 30 mins before someone could help us. We just needed the product off of a higher shelf. Come on people there were men standing everywhere and nobody was capable of grabbing a ladder to help us out!! Jennifer in flooring is great and Juan one of the managers is awesome however, they were both gone. Maybe the rest of the staff there should take some lessons off of these two.

Waled in to get a new washer and dryer last night 12/13 at around 6:30pm. 5 associates were huddled together talking and laughing. We waited for 10 minutes for someone to say hi at least. One oldr associate then leaves the group and asks if we needed help so we explained we wanted to purchase a new washer and dryer then he walked off without saying a word. Worst customer service I have ever encountered, they should all be replaced...evidently they dont care about helping anyone. Not good for business...I have already told 20 people + about my experience, good luck getting new customers!!! PATHETIC!!!!
