Being new to the area I thought I would give these guys a try with my Elk... Oct 2015 First - I asked that they would age my animal for a week they agreed. I did not hear from them for 2 weeks so I called them and they said it was done 2 days after I dropped it off and they tried calling. sure thing the dates on receipt show it was cut up the day I dropped it off.. Second - I ask for no roast, I receive 4 packages of roast... third - Cuts labeled wrong, package after package we open the cuts are not correct. I am looking at front shoulder meat labeled as Loin. fourth.. Hair.. hair in every other package. 5th - dirt on the meat. wow... what more can I say. these guys are in it just for your money. at this point can hardly believe the meat I picked up is even all mine. Ive been hunting and processing my own game or paying for my Elk processing for 25 years. ______ these guys!

Ive been going to Steves for 25 years, and have always thought highly of him and the business, but in the last ten years, his prices on everything but basic processing have literally doubled, all the while his overhead costs have likely not significantly increased. Unfortunately, he is now one of the, if not the single most expensive processor in the state. Good products, but not appreciably better than Arapahoe Meat Company or Meat Cleaver, and they are at least 25% less expensive. Im saddened to no longer be able to justify going to Steves because of the expense, and that even more distraught that hes rewarded his long time customers by gouging us with his nearly annual price increases.

A++++++++!!! After a horrible experience with Rocky Mountain Meats last year, the Meat Cleaver is amazing! Every item is vacuum packed in plastic. Very well taken care of and packaged meat. No unwanted resides on the meat. Specialty items taste amazing. Reasonably prices. Great customer services. Will used every year and will be telling everyone I know to go here! Cannot stress enough my positive feedback! Thank you, see you next year!

Brought in my elk. Gave me a tour of the facility. Processed my elk the way I wanted it. Steaks trimmed up nicely. Vacuum-packed and labeled well. Very professional service and reasonably priced. Ill be back.
