I am new to Southern Colorado, and went to almost every gun store in town - unfortunately none of them compared to Family Firearms Sales. I came across big box stores and small stores that shared a similar attitude when it came to patrons - basically; take it or leave it. I understand that these guns stores see hundreds of people a week, and most just browse while attempting to find out what they really want. But at the end of the day, customers shouldnt be treated as a number. Family Firearms Sales was great, they have experience, knowledge, and a very humble approach to business. Regardless if your a first time gun buyer, or experience veteran, this shop will help you find what your looking for. Unbiased opinions, statistical data, and real life experience are all of the great things that encompass the feedback you receive from the employees at Family Firearms Sales. The owner is a great guy who goes out of his way to ensure people come and go feeling essentially like family. This reflects in the standards that are set forth in the MILITARY VETERAN staff! This is honestly one of the few places that I feel as if they are setting the American standard, and operate on an honest/respectable business model. Shop around and you will be able to compare very quickly, Family Firearms Sales sets themselves apart based on ethics and morals from the start.

I just happened to go here based off of the reviews left by others that previously shopped at this store. I was looking for a holster for my HK vp9, unfortunately Evan didnt have any holsters there but directed to another shop whom hes good friends with for my holster. We spent about a good 45 mins just talking about his store and the items he has at the store. The experience I had at that shop, from the casual talking, to the items in the shop. Every bit of that experience was amazing! I never had any intention of purchasing a plate carrier, but after this experience I most definitely will come back and buy one! His prices are competitive but nothing to worry about. The best thing too, many tactical shops dont usually sell plates for your plate carrier, well....Evan has it! Very professional and super friendly. Thank you Evan for your time and patience, especially when my kids were in your store screamin and crying. Lol.

Great selection and well lit store. Prices were competitive but nothing to be wowd about. Glad to have found a local place to pick up accessories. Only reason Im giving 3 stars as apposed to 5 is because of the customer service. Hopefully I just caught them on a bad day. One guy was behind the counter talking to a friend about March Madness and never acknowledged my presence. The other gentleman when asked if a product was in stock said nope and that was it. I really would recommend this place though, level of customer service wanted is a personal preference and this review represents my opinion on the establishment. Apart from that, like I said in the beginning. The selection is great and well organized and prices are competitive.

Way over priced firearms and the service is not very good. The two men I saw and attempted to talk to were joking around and horse playing in a firearms stores. I over heard a conversation with them on the phone with a customer and after they were done were saying the person (on the phone) was stupid and how dare they call asking questions like that and that it was a stupid question. As for an example of price, they offered a G26 for 600 plus tax which was at least a hundred more dollars than anywhere else in town. They calm it because they have to make a profit off it but then why is everyone else cheaper??? It was just an pleasant visit. I will give this place another try and should it be better than before I will edit my review.

I found Family Firearms while visiting another local business. It was a great find. They are not the biggest store in town but their selection was more than sufficient, including a few models I have not seen anywhere else. Their service was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly, which is very important to me. They answered my questions without making me feel stupid or that I was wasting their time. Also, they went above and beyond to help me get the exact rifle I had been looking for. Their supply of accessories was a pleasant surprise and I will be heading back soon to pick up a few things. Great selection of modern defense and competition oriented firearms. Best selection of modern rifle, shotgun, and pistol accessories in the city. Transfers are processed quickly and for a reasonable price. Price on most guns is comparable to the big box sporting stores, except Family Firearms actually has the guns you want to buy. Best stock of Kel-Tec products Ive ever seen. Good selection of quality used modern rifles and pistols. Note the word quality, many shops have some used junk but these guys put good used firearms on the shelf, many nice brands like Noveske, Aero Precision, and POF.

The best place in town! I will be more than happy to pay a couple dollars more, for the quality of service that we get here! Buying online can be risky, I like to touch and feel and se what I am buying. My wife has bought 2 guns, My oldest has bought 2, I have purchases 4 and now my youngest is getting his first Friday from them! Andrew, Ben, Warren and Chad are always great. They are ALL knowledgeable, and will be more than happy to show you other options that may benefit you, BUT never talk down the item you are looking at! Will never go anywhere else.

I came across this establishment recently and can only say it is one of the best gun stores in town.The inventory is excellent but what really sets this place apart is the superb customer service. These folks are friendly, know their stuff, and are more than willing to help customers with any questions or concerns they may have. There is a remarkable LACK of attitude here (unlike at some of the other stores in CS). Each time I have visited this place, I have learned something important about firearms. This is how a gun store ought to be.

I was sent here by sportsmans warehouse when I wanted to find a price match for a tactical kit that I found online. Not only did Andrew take the time to create a comparable package for me, but it was less expensive than what I had expected to pay, and he took the time to set up some of the components for me. I could not be happier with this purchase and the store visit was very comfortable. I have a new home for all my tactical firearm needs, thanks!!!

These guys are good and knowledgeable with their firearms. I have bought several firearms that were below the going rate price, brand new, great selection as well that I cant get at hometown gun shops. And on top of all that they are friendly as hell, I usually end up burning a whole day away talking to the sales guys! Negative reviewers must be thinking of another place! I will continue to bring my business from 3 hours away to buy firearms from them!

I had a problem come up with a pistol I had purchase from Family Firearms, and I was out the cash price on it. The owner Chad and all his staff listened to the problem, and with out hesitation, told me they would take care of me. They did, to my great surprise and gratitude, they came me a full store credit and I was able to purchase a replacement pistol. I cannot say enough praises for the owner and staff. Thank you!!!! Excellent service!!!!!
