Shame on you, Bling. I am relatively new to Castle Rock and had seen Bling when eating at Sienna on the Courtyard. When I saw a Living Social coupon come up for them a few months ago I thought it was a great opportunity to check it out. I prefer shopping in smaller local boutiques b/c I like supporting Castle Rocks small local businesses. So I purchased a coupon for $25 that had a promotional value of $50. I lost track of time and realized that it had expired on Feb 18th. I went into Bling on Feb 29 and asked them about it. Typically, when you buy a promotional coupon like this, the promotional value expires but the purchased value does not expire or has a much longer expiration. However, I was told by the person in the store that no, there is no value whatsoever. So 10 days after my $50 coupon that I paid $25 for expired, I am SOL. Now, as a business owner myself, I was really turned off by the lack of accommodation. I was told "sorry." I find this unbelievable. Why did the store run this promotion? To bank on people not using the coupon? To get a quick buck? Could they not have made an exception for what could have been a loyal client? What would it have cost them to give me credit for my purchase amount? Or at the very least, a discount? How can they live with themselves looking at me face to face, knowing they took and kept $25 of my hard earned money. Granted, it was my fault that I didnt read the fine print and let the coupon expire. But a business that has integrity and genuinely wants to generate new business would certainly not have let me walk out of their store disgruntled and $25 poorer. Small bricks and mortar businesses rely 100% on customer service in this day and age. I do spend a lot on clothing...so to quote Pretty Woman, "Bling: Big mistake. BIG!"

I went to return some jeans that I had purchased at Bling. The first words spoken to me were "those arent our jeans, you didnt buy those here". Thank goodness I had the receipt and the original tags. The two women behind the counter were rude, accusatory and condescending. On top of that, they had left the big plastic anti-theft tag on them, so I couldnt have worn them even if I wanted to. They did give me my money back, begrudgingly. I wont spend one more penny at Bling, ever.
