I did purchase my wedding dress here but I was not a fan of the overall experience. The only upside to this place was that they were able to order a dress that another store said wasn’t possible. That’s no small feat, but I’m sad they got my business at any rate. First, I traveled from Denver with the info of exact dress I wanted to order in hand. I only went in to get measured and place the order. I was measured in the 2 ½-3” heels I had intended to wear at the wedding and paid $150 for a custom hem length to match. I ended up having to wear a different 1” heel because the final dress length was too short (the only adjustment my seamstress made post-purchase was to the sides of the dress in the bodice). Additionally, the day after ordering, my mom saw a coupon in their folder we were handed after purchase that said “$100 off if you buy a dress on your first visit.” My mom called to inquire if we could get the money off since we purchased on the first visit. Instead of just saying “The coupon must be shown at time of purchase” or something, they gave my mom and entire speech about MSRP’s and the dress already being at a low price. They could not have had an easier initial sale and still wouldn’t honor the coupon. The last straw was when I decided I needed to buy an undergarment from them that I couldn’t find anywhere else in Denver or online. I called ahead to confirm size options and made the trek from Denver again. The salesperson was kind, but I didn’t realize that the bras I was trying on were the actual ones for sale, so when I decided on a bra [size] (that had frays, was missing clasps and just looked utterly used), I was shocked when she asked why I didn’t bring it out of the dressing room to purchase. They charge $90 for these things - I expect what I purchase to be new!! Thankfully there was another piece in the same size that at least looked newer (still no tags, plastic wrap, etc), so I left with that one. The experience was fraught with up-sell attempts, including cold calls, to sell more after the dress purchase (no less than 3-4 messages), disingenuous customer service and difficult experience with their product. I shopped a TON for a wedding dress and had a better experience at no less than 5 other stores I went to, no exaggeration. If it wasn’t the dream dress, I would never have returned here.

I had a very similar experience to one of the reviews below. I was referred to Something New Botique by my co-workers. At first I had a great experience - I went in and staff was friendly and very helpful and I found a beautiful dress. When I purchased the dress the sales lady told me that my alterations would be inexpensive due to the fact the dress fit so well. Months went by and I needed to have my dress cleaned due to siting so long in the closet. I went through Something New to make sure that it was cleaned properly and it ended up costing an additional $150 which was fine. I picked the dress up and took it to get my alterations from the lady Something New referred. When I put the dress on, a loop was missing from the corset, the underpart of the dress was torn and there was a large stain on the train. The seamstress told me she would only charge me to fix the loop. I called Something new as soon as I left to let them know my dress was torn, missing a loop and had a stain. The lady was extremely rude and told me there was no way to prove it was their dry cleaners and they had never had an issues and asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I asked if I could speak with someone else so another lady called me back to suggest that perhaps I purchased the dress this way because it was a "runway dress" but that she would try to call the cleaners to see if they had notes on the damage. She said they would pay for the one loop being replaced but they wouldnt be willing to reimburse the cost of the cleaning or do anything else. Also, back to the comment about the dress being inexpensive to get alterations - the first visit alone was $375.00 and there are still more to come. I still need the bustling. If they try to tell you this, dont believe them. I think it may have been a sales pitch and if you do use Something New to purchase a dress make sure you check the dress for any damage prior to purchasing.

I went to Something New Boutique with a completely open mind. I had never even tried on a wedding dress before. Once I walked into the building I was immediately welcomed with open arms. My consultant offered me water to make me feel more comfortable. I was talked through all of the dress styles and was told to pick out three gowns just so she could see the styles that I am drawn to and also which styles look the best on me. When youre picking out your dresses they have you wear white gloves so that all of the dresses can remain in the best condition possible for other brides. My consultant was extremely honest and NEVER once pushed the purchase of my dress on me. I never felt pressured or stressed out. The second dress I tried on I just knew it was the one. My consultant even started crying then suggested I try on more gowns just to compare and be sure it was the one. Once I knew, she found out it was over my budget price but was able to bring it down below my budget! The building is extremely clean, its a little small so bringing a large group with you is not advised. The consultants are ALL very helpful, patient, sweet and extremely considerate during the process. Once you choose your dress they even have you walk through the store, showing it off in a veil, jewelry, and a bouquet. The employees and owner of the store are genuinely there to satisfy your wedding dress needs. They dont get paid on a commission so you truly know that they are there for you and not the money. Also, their dress prices range from 1,000 to 4,000. When you buy a dress from Something New, they even offer you 10% off alterations to your dress and recommend vendors for your wedding. The overall experience was beyond what I expected, I absolutely loved it. And I would recommend this boutique to absolutely ANY bride looking for beautifully made wedding dress. I would absolutely recommend this store to absolutely anyone.

I went to Something New during their sample sale. First of all I was not impressed with their scheduling. When I called and made my appoint they said that they would have to call me back. Three days later I never got a call so I called again and finally got appointment. Then they called me to confirm my appointment once and I confirmed it. A week later they called again and left a message saying that I needed to confirm or else my appointment would be given away. I called back and confirmed once again. When I got to my appointment I was impressed by the store and thought that it was decorated nicely and look very clean. They had a lot of quality dresses and the sample sale were significant discounts. However, my sales girl was SO pushy it made my experience awful. She put me in dresses that I wasnt fond of. There was one dress that I liked but didnt love because it wasnt bright white, one of my top requests. I kept asking to see something in bright white but she wouldnt bring me one and kept insisting that the dress I had on was my dress and that no brides wear bright white anymore. I also wanted to see something that was fitted with lace and she wouldnt bring me that either. She just kept insisting that the one I had on was the dress for me. I left empty handed and went to another store where I bought exactly what she would not bring me. I understand that this was a sample sale and maybe the dress that I was requesting wasnt available but instead of recommending I come back on another day she just kept pressuring me to buy something I didnt want. Because it was a sample sale it could have been a different experience than a lot of brides and I know a lot of brides that really loved this store and have had a great experience but if I hadnt already found my dress I definitely would not return.
