I was a loyal customer at this store for over 6 months, when I tried to return an item for credit less than 1 day after purchase the owner told me that he couldnt do that as it was "unfair to him". I told him that he lost a customer and went out to my car to leave. As Im getting ready to leave he comes out and tells me to roll down my window. Then he greeted his long term loyal customer in these exact words "if you write a negative yelp review because of this, I will ruin you." I had no intention of leaving a review until he decided to threaten me. Avoid this store at all costs the prices are 20-30% higher than ebay and even worse the owner has no clue about any of the stuff he is selling. Hes not a gamer, hes not a collector hes a guy with a storefront that decided to jump into the retro gaming boom to try and make a buck. Posted this on yelp the day after it happened and he somehow blocked it from showing up to the public.

Very friendly and knowledgeable, EVERY time. I love the customer service, emphasis on new and old games/systems, and the fact that I can ask questions without being treated like a noob. To everyone that says that prices are too high, I find them to be fair and I prefer to support a small, local business staffed by awesome people and a very cool owner. I highly recommend them! P.S. Im not sure what the complaining about the return policy is, but I saw an older gentleman come in tonight with a faulty disc and he was taken care of fairly, quickly, and professionally.

My kids love this place, and I am always happy to find a good selection of reliable used Wii and DSi games for them. They totally match and even beat Blockbuster pricing on used movies. They will even give you $2 credit back after purchasing a movie for $5. We "forget" our Redbox and Blockbuster movie rentals all the time, and pay way more than $3 to watch a movie for a month! Great selections for both kids and adults - we plan to come back often.

place is a rip off. I asked the employee if I bought a controller if I had a refund. they said yes for 7 days full refund. I bought a ps3 controller and literally 2 minutes after I purchased I returned it because it wasnt dual shock 3. they said there was nothing they could do and now all I have is store credit. I will never go back there again and everyone I know I will tell them to spend an extra penny to avoid this place.

After being ignored at Buy-Back, I went to a few different used games dealers before landing at Game Fortress. Ive had nothing but a great experience here. He has gone out of his way to make sure Im treated fairly. Its kind of a smaller shop but I would much rather give him my business and plan on continuing to do just that.

Ive been very happy with my used purchases from Game Fortress. I have found the customer service to be outstanding, both for me and my two kids. Sometimes you find places that dont like to have kiddos in their store, but GF is really good with helping them find what they want. Great with helpful suggestions too.

Best game store in Denver, and this is coming from a very avid retro game collector. Prices and selection are terrific and the owner is always so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! Ive been coming here for over a year now and new movies and games come in every day, always a ton of great options!

Only been here a handful of times when visiting friends in Arvada. Its a great store with good prices and a well rounded stock. The employees are nice and helpful. Its a store i always do and will stop by if Im in the area regardless if Im looking for anything.

I bought a game for $30, didnt like it, and tried to exchange it for another game that cost the same the NEXT DAY, the guy only wanted to give me $10 store credit!! Rip off!! Plus I did some research and they sell games $10 above everyone else. DO NOT GO HERE!

Love this place! 5 movies for 20 bucks and plenty of games to choose from. But even though that is awesome Im giving 5 stars to the true star of the show, Ziggy. He is the sweetest and most helpful (and softest) puppers anyone could ask for. Love it!

Big selection, way better than any other place for older games and new games too! Also take my trades for games older than NDS that Game Stop wont take anymore! Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the games.

Some of the worst customer service Ive ever had. Refused to give a refund on a defective used cartridge bought 3 hours earlier, after having been assured it could be returned, and were downright nasty to boot.
