I was excited to be getting tattooed at this famous store. Honestly, I did not really expect to get an appointment because I understand that they are high profile and therefore very busy. However, when I went in today I was told that I would e able to sit with Nate a few hours later and so put down my deposit and wandered off to kill some time. I was called back 45 min before my appointment to be told that he had double booked himself and would not be able to do my tattoo. When I went un to get my deposit back Adrienne was extremely rude and barely looked at me as I was talking to her. When another artist came over to try and help me out she told him "not to worry about it". All the artists are responsible for their own bookings and the fact that this shop has no main appointment book is ridiculous. I work in the hospitality industry so I understand that people are often rude and hold impossible standards. However, if you cannot be pleasant and attentive wile working with the public then you should get another job where no one has to deal with your attitude. In the end I am extremely glad that I did not spend my money at this store and I would encourage others to look for other shops when visiting LA.

I got my first tattoo here. Yes it was more expensive however I dont regret it. The guy at the counter was very rude. I was ready to walk out. He addressed me as if I wasnt being taken serious. However I asked if anyone was available and he immediately gave me a price off the top of his head as if I couldnt "afford". He hit me with a $270 for a small something on my rib cage and I didnt care I just wanted good art on me so I asked for someone available and like an angel from heaven, Khoi waved and treated me and my friends extremely well. I got Roman numerals done and I didnt want anything sloppy or my writing to be thick , and Khoi , my artist, exceeded my expectations. His service was amazing, the patients he had with me was great, his art is amazing. I highly recommend him. For sure getting everything done ONLY by him. Overall, Khoi is the best.

I went into this shop in August of 08...i have always watched Kat ever since she was on Miami Ink. I admired her as an artist. Im originally from Los Angeles and i really liked how she was so proud to be from LA. So i went into the shop (without an appt.). First off, Adrienne was sooooo unbelievably RUDE!!! i stood at the desk for about 20 minutes when she FINALLY looked up and said "what do you want?" shooked by her customer service,i explained what i needed all of a sudden she walked away, an artist finally came up to me about 5 minutes later and i explained to him what i needed. I was so disappointed in Adriennes attitude that i told the artist just to forget it and im not interested in getting tattooed there anymore. I will NEVER recommend this shop to anybody, unless you want to be treated like an idiot!!!

The attitude of the shop manager Adrian was appalling. Appointments were made for my friend and I today and my friend was later called back an hour before her appointment and told that due to double booking they couldnt do her tattoo. We were only in town for 2 days and Adrian made zero effort to help reschedule. She claimed that each artist keeps track of their own appointments there is no main scheduling book/system and that she didnt want to call the artists working the next day because she didnt want to interrupt them on their day off. She pretty much told us to go somewhere else because they had other customers so it really didnt matter to them. It was a shame that 1 of our 2 days here was wasted trying to have a good experience at this snobby, overrated shop.

Walked in and the guy saw us and sat down On a chair kicked his legs up on a table We asked if he worked there looking to get a tattoo He replied with "do you have a tattoo question" We obviously did wanting to get some done. He talked as if we annoyed him. Another guy passed by seeing that we were trying to get decent service to get what we came in for. We went in thinking this place was the place to go for a tattoo and good professional service but got nothing but rude arrogance. They shouldnt treat people they way they do. They dont know who they could be talking to, in this case people a part of the music industry who can put a bad word out about their shop. Dont go here its a tourist trap. (I feel sorry for the tourists)

I have never seen the show, but my friend had gotten tattooed at high voltage and the work was some of the best id ever seen. Based on his tattoo, I booked myself an appointment. Everyone was very friendly, front desk staff very attentive. The artist I worked with was more than professional, made it easy to schedule an appointment and was ready on time when I arrived for the tattoo. Everyone working in the shop was friendly, if others had not told me about the show I wouldnt guess that these guys are on camera regularly. No attitudes at all. The level of artistry here is amazing, it is reasonably priced and if i were to get another, I would go straight back.

Most requested tatoo shop! Visitors to Los Angeles whove taken the tour with me often ask about this place ("Are we going by there on the tour?") even though my company doesnt include it on the brochure of places to see, although Ill try to pass by along the way! Unfortunately the famous highly talented tattoo artist Kat Von D is available only by appointment for minimum like $600 to $!,000 for a quarter sized tatoo, otherwise walk-ins can have her associates (the best in the business) take care of business! To deter a constant flood of lookieloos they recommend you contact and order merchandise online at their provided website listed above!

I was on vacation and made one of my stops to check out Kats shop and buy some merch to support her shop that was the first mistake. the second mistake i made was actually trying to have a conversation with her idiot counter help that has a rock star look at me Im on LA ink attitude. The third mistake was actually handing over my hard earned cash to these ungrateful rock stars its Hollywood babe..Dont get caught up in the hype like i did There are a hell of a lot better shops to spend your frog skins at. And still walk out smiling....

They are TERRIBLE. I waited 6 months for an e-mail back about getting a a pin-up tattoo. I finally got an appointment. I got in the chair and they instantly pulled me back out and told me they had double booked and the next avaliable appointment for me was 4 months from that date. And they told me my black and grey simple pin-up was $800!!!!!! I went to Electric Pen Tattoo instead and got the exact same tattoo done with amazing quality for $200. LA Ink was horrible and rude. And Kat was rude. Fame really went to their heads.
