Pawn shops might be considered a necessary evil by some - or a life saver - depending on your circumstances. Im skeptical of them anyway and have undesirable experiences sometimes in many of them. But Elliotts Pawn Shop at 7760 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood is a golden example of "business done right!" Elliott, himself, is the reason. Hes trustworthy, knowledgeable, has integrity, has a heart, runs a tight ship and has a sense of humor. Hes laid back and will do what he can to help you out. His employees are hand-picked and, it seems, respect Elliott a lot too. Although they know their jobs well, the atmosphere in the store is that it is a place for perpetual learning. Ive seen Elliott take the time to coach and provide continuing training on the job for his employees on several occasions. It makes for a well-rounded and helpful place to get information about items you may want to sell or borrow against.... and the staff can help you find that perfect item to purchase too. (Hes got a lot of neat stuff!) Again, pawn shops Im skeptical of almost without exception. THIS shop, however, IS the exception. Check him out. Kevin R. West Hollywood

Ive been doing business with Elliot and Ed for close to 14 years. Ive purchased most of my studio equipment here and keep my guitars with him as a sort of safe storage. 5 years ago I bought a loaded mac g4 1.67 DVD burner, airport, RAM the works! I still use it today. I paid only $1100 for it at the time and it was a DEAL! Use this pawn shop for the gear you love... it will be safe. During hard times you can know they will work with you and help you. Its a good old fashioned American pawn shop run by Americans for Americans! Theyre not in the business of ripping people off! Trust!

Elliott & his staff are ALWAYS professional & friendly... doing business there is never high-pressure as they are consistently fair, honest, transparent & up-front. The stuff they have for sale is the coolest & fairly priced. I couldnt recommend a pawn shop more than this one.

Would definitely go here again. Honest sellers, cool shop and great prices. Stay away from the pawn shop across the street, they knowingly sold me fake silver. You wouldnt get that bs from these guys, they know their trade well.

I made a deal over the phone for an item. They gave me an exact price with tax. I drove out there and the owner jacked the price up. I had a choice to leave or buy it at the new price. Very disappointed.

Elliot Salter gives decent loans. The staff is very knowledgeable about the items you bring, they are courteous and the most fun place I have ever done business with. Elliot has saved a lot of lives.
