You may have fooled those police officers but expect a lawsuit, I am filing a report at the local station first thing tomorrow. It is sad we are living in such an apathetic world that creeps like this can get away with what this shop did to me, but I guess we will see in the end when I win the law suit. For all you out there reading this, I brought in a dozen pairs of sunglasses all designer (Dita, Gucci, Tom Ford, Ralph Laure, etc.. and the employee their added up the sale prices they use from EBAY that totaled around $1300. And those are final auction prices, so worth much more. Ditas alone sell for over 500 and the Guccis $350, beside the point tho, owner came in after employess quote and said "I will give you $10 a pair." I replied man you guys are tripping." The emplyee then said, "Me? Im tripping?" and reached across the glass and STRUCK me in the face as hard as he could. Yes, you read that correctly. He STRUCK me in the face as hard as he could. Another employee witnessed. I told the owner who told me to just leave the shop. I called the police and waited 45-1 hour for them to show up. The owner of course sent both the employees who hit me and the one who witnessed home. He told the apathetic police that their cameras did not work and there was nothing I can do in the moment. But, gratefully my best friend is a DA and will give me all the advice on what I need to do. See you in court!!!

I needed some help with my rent last month so I went over to Marina Pawn. Let me just say that the new owners are some of the nicest people that I have ever met. Max went above and beyond to help me out on a day when I was at an all time low. I have since picked up my things, which were in perfect shape and have even recommended Marina Pawn to my best friend when he was in a jam. Needless to say, he had the same experience. I would be re-missed if I didnt mention the kindness of the two gentlemen he has working for him as well. They helped me unload, and load my SUV both times. I know this sounds like a paid review, but I can assure you that I am just a normal venice guy that needed a little help and now feel compelled to return the kindness with an honest and quality review. If youre looking for a pawn shop, I highly recommend Marina Pawn. Theyre good people.

the worst pawn shop i ve ever been to or seen venice and marina del rey should have nice pawn shops that look like stores this place is a cage with a bunch of junk in there i stoped by a few days ago before today and the guy had a sign up saying he was closed tues thurs and fri . with a note saying sorry huh ? crazy hours u never know if the place will be open or not the guy running the place was rude and unfriendly he would nt even look at the gold i had for like a couple mins he was acting like he was busy and then he glanced super quick at the gold i had i said i m not interested i think this guy has racial issues with anyone not like him it seemed to me why else would u act like that , thats venice for u i went to cash for gold and they took care of me wow close the shop down if u cant run a good biz

They have always been fair with me. Used their services a few times. I find you just have to be patient, and polite and you get the same in return. The owner and son Tony have always been friendly and gave me fair loans and rates. I only put items in when an emergency and get my items back after all had settled. Dont judge a book by its cover, store is older and in a good location. Can be off putting to some, however if anyone is using such services for last minute help just be calm, request a fair value, and they are fair men. Business is business though. Personally, they have always been helpful when I was in a bind. I recommend them.

I was late on my rent and mind you there was no information on the hours of operation. I called at exactly 5:35pm and was on my way. I get there and called before crossing the intersection and he answers the phone saying we are closed come back tomorrow. WTF! Couldve told me that when I first called so now Im out gas and rent and may become homeless because of WHO????

Total jerk. On the phone and in person. I called in to make an appointment to sell an item AND I got there on time. Yet he told me to wait outside when another customer came in before me. Rather take my time and business somewhere else than this rude jerk.
