I must say , BAd Smelly and the customer services is the worst. I have been going to petco in hopes to find a decent LIve food for my pet box turtle,that is 25yrs :), for over 2 yrs. there seams to be a lack of Fresh Worms in this store. every container ( even on the so call delivery days the mangers told me about Weds.)I open just about every container of super worms to find old dead and very smelly worm skins so black You know they have been there for a very very long time. I asked a manager at this petco why dont they just throw the bad stuff out so we the customers do not have to open all of them to try and find some sort of LIVE worm. this is what SHE said. The customers come in and open all the containers stealing by adding more worms to the container they are buying. I looked at her like REALLY! come on now like some one is stealing these black shells of long dead super worms. I shook my head and told the manager I do not understand . all i want is to buy a fresh live product for a pet I have been tending for many years, after all this is a PETCO right? you are a manager here right. will you at least clean the dead worms and through them away and make room for new worms? she rolled her eyes and said not the case here and she walked off. never ever will I again go to that store, I will blog and I will always tell this store to whom ever has a pet in vallejo that wishes to feed live fresh worms to. very very said sad excuse of animal care!

The first time I brought my pet there to be groomed was during winter. They shaved him off to point where his skin was showing. My poor dog was freezing for weeks. I went there again the second time being naive that maybe this time they will do a better job. But, they still did a poor job. They said my dog will be done in 4 hours. It took them 6 hours. It looked like nothing was done. When I finally picked him up, I still had to tell them the hair around my dogs nose is not even shaved and around his privates are not shaved, and thats what I requested for. The lady shaved the nose but for his privates she said, "I am afraid I cant do that because I might hurt him." and I was thinking, "Arent u a professional? You should be able to handle something like that. Thats your job" To me, it just looked like she was finding an excuse not to do it because she didnt have the time. 6 hours is a long time for a dog to be groomed. HORRRIBLE!!!

I went shopping for a bird yesterday. I was looking at witch one I wanted cud not tell the diffrence between girl or boy so I waited to be help behind me was a worker helping someone with dog food,so I waited for the worker to be done so she could help me but she was in a hurry just stared at me and left in a hurry bad customer service I watied 20 min till I got help nobody was arround I seen a worker working on something so I asked him to,help me he did not know about birds so he said just return tomorrow when someone that knows is here. So I felt very irritated waiting for long not returning ther again

I made an appointment for my dog Buddy, and was surprised to get it at the same day and its a weekend! And I found out why, the place is really so smelly and they did a terrible job. wherever you look, body, face legs and head all are uneven.I called the following day to complain and i was on hold for a long time.I am still on hold so i will get back to you guys when i hear from them.

Its okay for me since I buy rabbit products from here, and fish. I dont know how the dog care works¿ since I dont own a dog and dont bring it there, so I dont really know if its smelly I guess. The pet shop just smells like a pet shop, yknow. I dont know why everyone is calling this place smelly in the ratings.

Some staff are very well informed about dog and cat nutrition. They know who I am and the names of my dogs. Some employees are better than others but the staff who have been there for years are great

I went in to buy a chameleon and they told me if I waited til Saturday I would be saving a lot of money because of sales they have on reptiles and kits on the weekend and I appreciate *thumbs up emoji*

Went because every Sunday they have a clinic set-up for 2 hours between 4 and 6. I was able to get my fur baby updated on all her vaccines with no exam fee!
