I gave this Best Buy location 1 star only because of the poor customer service I received in the car stereo area. Im always looking for a bargain and on Saturday April 22 I was in the automotive department and saw a Kenwood double din stereo that I was interested in as an open box item. The "Car Expert" Ricardo G., asked my wife and I if we needed help. I asked about the open box Kenwood DDX373BT that was in the display. I had already read on the label that it was missing the owners manual and the microphone for the bluetooth feature. No problem. He then tells me that its missing the power wire. I mentioned that the label only said that it was missing the manual and microphone. He insisted that it was the same wire. Mind you I am very familiar with car stereos primarily Kenwood. Ive had Kenwood in three of my cars. I know the difference between the wire harness and a mic wire. After walking away and coming back I asked if he could call someone with a key so I could check the radio for any damages. He then asked me, "what did I need to see the radio for?" He had very poor customer service skills. After pulling the radio out of the display he reluctantly placed it in my hands but didnt really let it go. I had enough of him an walked away. My wife spoke to another sales rep whos name I didnt get but, he contacted a manager (Keysah) to help me. She did not want me to leave before she could assist me. Long story short I purchased the radio and love it thanks to great customer service from Keysah and the young man that assisted with the sale. 5 stars to the both of them. Ricardo G should be sent back to customer service training.

BEST BUY ITS YOUR WORST BUY!!! DO NOT TRY TO BUY ANYTHING THERE. They have the worst return policy, I bought a computer that within 2 months has been send to repair 3 times already, they do not want to exchange and give me a better product, when the error come from manufacturer. LIES LIES LIES they said that they send it to manufacturer and now I call them and those 3 times, my computer was always on BEst BUy, those High Schoolers Geek Squad!!! BEst buy LIED they never send my computer to manufacturer they keep it at the store mess my compurer even worst! UNBELIEVEABLE.... When I try to solve this formaly the main supervisor of best buy, white big fat guy he with his worst actitude told my husbad. HEY IF YOU WANT WE CAN FIX THIS OUTSIDE!!! He wanted to fight, YOU KIDDING ME!!! Gosh I leave the store, I will never come back. Customers please run, dont intend to buy anything on that specific store SIGNAL HILL. I am a business woman, I work with customers that loves me, not trouble maker that all. This is frestrating, worst thing you not only loose your money, you will loose lots of time. I am stating right now, see you Best BUy at court.

went there for a tablet and wasnt too sure about which to get. they only had two on the shelves so i grabbed both so noone else could buy one of them or both before i made my decision. from there i was followed around store by three people periodically as if i was stealing or up to no good. so after i contacted a buddy of mine who is a techy and found out that both of these tablets were only 16gb and not really worth their prices i put them back on the shelf (one where it was at originally and the other on the wrong shelf) and as i got to the exit i was stopped and accused of stealing so i let them search my stroller and diaper bag where they found nothing but my daughter, diapers/wipes and they asked where the tablets were.they said they were watching me but yet they had no idea where these two tablets ended up. nonetheless i took them to the tablets proving them wrong and then was told not to steal from them the next time i come into the store. i thought that if something like that happened they were supposed to tell you not to come back period. well needless to say i wont be. off to frys to get my next tablet.

1/09/14 4:45pm This place is a complete joke, as they treated me like I was a shoplifter. I went in to return an item today valued at $39.99. I walked in with the item and my receipt for it and then began browsing and found a bluetooth speaker priced at $99.99 that I was going to buy with the aid of my returned cash. When I got to customer service the female clerk Adrianna stopped the transaction and asked me if I had been browsing the store. She then said security would have put a yellow sticker on the package if i had walked in with it. I showed her my receipt, but that wasnt sufficient evidence. She then spoke with security, who didnt see me walk in. I then had to wait while security reviewed their footage, but they didnt know how. Then the manager went to help, but he also had trouble. Finally, 30min later the manager ended up just telling the clerk to complete the return. They didnt offer any apology whatsoever, nor did the manager ever come over to talk to me. This was the worst display of customer service I have ever experienced.

Many of the items that you find by visiting the online shopping app. Are not stocked at this particular store. It must be due to the demographics of the area. But. Can be very frustrating to the consumer. As for my many years in the retail business while i lived in NYC. with Macys on 34th street. Along with Bloomingdales @59th & Lexington Ave. This store along with the ex-Wal-mart that was located in Dtwn longbeach, was considered a "B" store. That meaning the store did not generate the high dollar crowd. Store is to small, used as a training store, as well as the dump store. Products that did not sell at other stores. Usually lots of open box, scratch & dent items,along with merchandise that was used for display. Very disappointing. Save yourself the frustrating experience. Go to a store in LA. or. one of their competetors. Good Luck!

My wife and I had EXCELLENCE service here ! Firstly I was impressed how, when I expressed interest in a certain tablet model I had read about, the assistant said Sorry, we dont have that in our stock, but I can tell you of a (non Best Buy) store nearby that has it. That is really good service, absolutely not the hard sell. We actually stayed in the store and bought one they did have in stock. Secondly, we actually lost the receipt and now have to address a quality issue of the tablet we bought (not the fault of Best Buy). We phoned Best Buy Service and they put a LOT of effort into tracing our purchase and e-mailing us a copy of the receipt. That is fantastic - THANK YOU !!!

This store actually lies to people! I tried to call this store after Christmas and their opening message said their phones were down. Except that, when I dialed up customer service, it worked--I heard someone talking for 2 seconds before I was put on hold without notice. After five minutes of muzak, I hung up. Im not stupid, the phones were working fine. Its completely unacceptable for a major, nationwide retail store to lie about something like this because they simply dont want to deal with holiday calls. Add this to all of the other shady practices Best Buy stores have been caught doing over time, and this is one store you want to stay far, far away from.
