Great interaction with Carlos (the Manager at this Best Buy in Burbank) I was shopping for a television for my home and decided to buy one online from Amazon as they had free shipping. I was at work when it got delivered and the television was cracked due to the shipping, I called amazon within hours of delivery and said since I signed for the delivery there was nothing they could do, they said to call the shipping carrier, so I called the carrier and they told me to call Amazon. Needless to say I am out of $1,800.00 and will never shop at Amazon again but not because of this experience but because the great interaction I got from Carlos Portillo the Manager at this Best Buy, I decided to go to this store with my wife as we still needed a high definition television, as we walked around the store and was greeted by a couple of their associates, we told them we were just looking, as we were not planning to buy it from them, as I had an issue with them a couple of years before, then Carlos was walking by made a comment about my shirt (I was wearing my sons baseball shirt) and we started to talk about baseball, then he asked what we were looking for and I told him I was in the market for a new tv, he explained to me that best buy associates are not on commission and he asked me what we like to watch, where we were putting it, etc. We told him, and he took notes on sheet of paper, which later he gave to us, which I found very nice. He also guarantee us the lowest price and then thats when we made our decision to buy from him, he had a young gentlemen finish up with us but checked back with us periodically even got us a bottle water and brought us his business card and told me if I had any questions or concerns to give him a call directly and he would take care of it. I have read the comments left by others and I think that if you have an issue or concern you should get in contact with Carlos as shows he cares about his customers. I am an executive for a movie studio in Burbank and next time our company needs product I will definitely turn to best buy for them. As far as buying electronics online, dont do it, most retailers price match online prices; all you have to do is ask and they will do it, and if you have any issues you have a location you could go exchange to opposed to paying for shipping back and hope that they return it.

Updated Review: I updating my review after Ben and Andrew in the Magnolia department along with Dave and Tasha in Customer Relations group where able to assist me and get my issue resolved in a couple days after 3+ weeks of not being able to get my receiver repaired as I described below. Thank you guys for all of your help! If youre looking for to setup your home with Audio/Video stop by the Magnolia department and ask for Ben. He was able to help setup my equipment based on the my needs and within my budget! Original Review: This review is in regards to the warranty available from Best Buy / Geek Squad. I have a Denon receiver which I purchased in June, 2014 and everything had been working perfectly until something caused it to just keep shutting itself off. I brought my Denon receiver in for repair on 3/30/2016. The receiver was sent to their service center only to be returned to the store without being repaired due to incorrect paperwork according to the Geek Squad employee. About 2 days later the receiver was sent out again to their service center. On 4/18/2016 I received an email that my receiver was fixed, but when I showed up I was informed it was sent back again without repair. This time the reason was that the Magnolia department should have sent the receiver to Denon. You would think someone would have known this from the beginning. I cant be the first person whos purchased a receiver from the Magnolia department and brought it in for repair. (NOTE: I originally checked in with the Magnolia department on 3/30/2016 and they re-printed my receipt showing my warranty and sent me to the Geek Squad). Before you consider buying their warranty just know that you product will take weeks for repair. Do your self a favor and consider skipping their warranty and find a local repair shop. I used Johnny’s TV Repair in the Los Feliz area. He fixed my TV in less than 90 minutes for $140. While $140 sounds like a lot, I am pretty sure in the unlikely event your electronics break down that their warranty isnt much cheaper than the cost of a local repair shop. I am positive its less frustrating than dealing with the Geek Squad. By the way, the original ETA I was given for the repair was 4/15/2016...Its now 4/19/2016 and no receiver.

I waited on the phone for over 40 minutes with only 4 customers ahead of me. I called back later that morning and with one customer ahead of me, I waited for 17 minutes before hanging up. I then called back later that afternoon and waited on speaker phone while I worked. Finally, I talked to a Supervisor, Daisy, who told me she could help with questions re. cell phones. I took the time to explained exactly what I needed & Daisy, the STORE SUPERVISOR, COULDNT ANSWER ANY OF THE SIMPLEST QUESTIONS. I asked if she could switch me to someone who might be more knowledgeable about types of cell phones for my wife, son and myself. She switched me to Stephanie who acknowledged that she didnt know that much about cell phones nor how, or if they could even sync with my other devices - a thing that should be necessary to work in a Mobile/Cell phone dept. Stephanie kept placing me on hold while asking others for the answers to the questions I had - so much for the store manager getting me someone who was "more knowledgeable." I then called the District Sup, Victoria Dias, questioning if there store phones were out of order, & why I couldnt find help with pertinent questions re. their mobile phones. Theres been absolutely NO Response from the District Manager, Victoria Dias, for the entire day -- FYI, Ive called her before, a month or so ago and received NO reply from her at that time either. What you see/hear, is what youll get in return not only for your hard earned cash, but especially for your time. Dont bother - Youve been warned!

Ive shopped at Best Buy for years - bought my last TV and Mavic Pro Drone from the chain. Today I went to Burbank to buy an Osmo Mobile and, since Best Buy has a price match policy (or marketing campaign at least) thought I could pick one up here today. The match price was with DJI itself, Frys Electronics and B&H - the latter two of which are major competitors. All of these places are selling with Osmo at list price but no sales tax. Theyre obviously selling the device at a discount and paying tax, but it works out to about $26 off. The manager had to be asked and he said he couldnt waive the tax. I explained that he would still charge tax but obviously lower the price. Just first response was that it was too close to margin.... really... I reminded him of the Price Match PERIOD slogan and he turned condescending, asking rhetorically how he could justify matching a lower price when the competitors price was full list (with no tax). The managers obstinance, arrogance (in how he addressed me in front of other crew members no less) and apparent difficulty with math and/or critical thinking found me walking out the door and driving a couple miles to Frys where the deal was better anyways. Not sure if Ill go to Best Buy first again, but I certainly wont be shopping at the one in Burbank since Im assuming this particular manager represents the best that this store has to offer.. Todays Best Buy certainly was at Frys - sans the disrespect...
