I have always thought that the looser the clothes, the more I could hide behind them. I hated to shop for clothes and was always buying things over the internet without trying them on, that is until I discovered Jill Alexander Designs. What a goldmine! Now I get why her designs are sold all over the world. Jill Alexander has created a unique approach to shopping online as well as in her studio where she has incorporated a retail storefront. Jill and her staff are so accessible and friendly and made me feel like they had known me forever. They spent so much time with me, making recommendations and showing me how to step away from the baggie clothes into tailored and eye-catching designs. I learned so much and I will continue to shop at JAD. If thats not enough, the brilliant thing about JAD is that Jills designs are meant to help you build a wardrobe. They are classic, yet cutting edge and are designed to work with what they created the season prior. No more shopping one season at a time for disposable clothing. Im able to create a wardrobe for years to come, knowing that whatever Jill has in mind next, is just going to enhance what I already own. Brilliant!!

I finally got to check out their clothing in person yesterday after knowing about them for about a year! And, I have LOVED their styles and beautiful clothes on their facebook page for a year, too. All of the colors and bold and beautiful, but NOT old ladyish. The fabrics are rich and gorgeous and flatter a plus size body. On top of it all, the owner and staff is incredible and I really enjoyed my shopping outing at Jill Alexander. I cant wait for their new location in Scotts Valley which will be a bit closer for me since I live in San Jose. Their website is gorgeous and I love that the use plus size models for their fashion, too!.

This is a VERY dishonest business woman who tries to cheat artists by not paying for their work. Luckily the legal system still works and her shenanigans were slammed down in a court of law. Not to mention her designs are hideous and clownish, unflattering to women of any size (but particularly to large women) and overpriced.
