Make sure you do NOT have to use the restroom and make sure children use the restroom BEFORE you arrive. It is not the place you want to be if you need to use the restroom. Filthy at all times of the day INCLUDING opening and always poorly stocked. Its very challenging for someone with small children to make sure they "dont touch that"! Yes, its bad enough to note in a review. Pricing labels are poorly placed on the shelves and you REALLY have to check the SKU #s to make sure you have the correct item. Yes, its a toy store and of course children are going to want to play. I do sometimes too. Still, all-in-all, the store is physically a mess. All that being said, sales associates are helpful to the point where they will search in the back and climb ladders to find items that are not on the shelf but the inventory device says theres 1 more in stock. can be a little on the shy side, they do what they can to help. Id say 9 times our of 10 they can find it. Theyre usually cheerful and almost always willing to talk about their favorite toys.

I was assisted by Cathy Kern on 3/18/15. I asked her to help me find a gift that an 8-yr. old boy would really be happy to receive. She showed me many versions of Legos and together we settled on one that I thought Rudy would really like. When I gave Rudy the gift his first response was, "How did you know that I wanted this so badly?" I thank Cathy for her time, care and patience in finding the perfect 8-yr. old boy toy! Just came to pickup a new release game today. They opened the case and handed me the game. As I go to purchase they say that the game isnt available for over a week. The game is already out and no one could help me/let me purchase the game. Seems like their hands were tied but it speaks loads on what kind of company they are. The game is out, you have it in stock and you still refuse to sell it to me? Incompetent. Stupid. Lacking common sense.

I met this amazing woman named Cathy Who was either a manager customer service but definitely an employee wearing a red shirt on December 23, 2016 at The toys are us in Santa Cruz California. She made my granddaughters wishes come true even though they seemed impossible. Thank you Kathy with all my heart. God bless you.

Got a "warranty" along with my sons tablet. A few months later it broke and we expected them to honor the replacement warranty. No such luck. In fact, they had no record of it at all. Went back four or five times with no one able to help. Going to buy another tablet somewhere else. What a waste of money.
