Scum Scumy Scum scum, I went to this store as Ive done hundreds of times before to find some parts...never really been impressed with the manager who seems like hes happy to sit in the corner and pray no one talks to him, but this time was different. They had a huge sale box in the back that I spent over an hour grabbing every part for my 180Cfx and nano cps. After digging and getting a TON of stuff INCLUDING an audio AS3X programming cable I then grabbed a new micro drone and headed to the front. After the d-bag hurriedly rang me up I noticed that the cable was missing. (one of the things I REALLY wanted). He walked back there and sorta helped me look through the boxes...I asked him if he sold it...No...there was NO one else in the store. Then FINALLY the callow mngr walked up and asked what we were looking for...THE SALES GUY SAYS "We cant find this cable...and I KNOW its not back there." Yeah d-bag...I know its not back there too CUZ YOU TOOK IT! So rather than own up to his dishonest scum bag actions I made them refund OVER $100 worth of stuff. There are plenty of other RC stores in the area...dont bother with these scum sucking turds. Progressive RC in Sea and Remote Control Hobbies in Covington will hook you up just as nice, wont steel from you and ACTUALLY care about your experience. As Im walking out I say.."Im never coming back here." D-bag says.."I hope you dont." I wont...and neither will the $1,000s of dollars I spend on my hobby every year.

The store its self is not bad, the return policy sucks but they sell the majority of parts that you will break during use, it would be a four star but the customer service was very poor. i went in there seeking knowledge, you know just to learn a little bit about the helion line they carry vs the traxxas that i was going to buy. there were only 2 employees, one was doing nothing up front doing nothing until i approached, then he acted like i had interrupted something important he was doing. i asked a couple questions only to get vague and faulty information, telling me some of the trucks went 40+ when the box said 25. he then admitted he only know about flying rc vehicles. which totally wasted my time. so i waited for the other employee to come back and ask him because he was the "car guy". when i got back i was almost more disappointing. he gave me a brief two to three minutes of questions where he shot down all the rc i asked about and tried to push their Helion brand on me. when i started to ask him about the best one for short course or off road he simply walked away to greet the customer coming through the door. i have been in a few times and the help from the employees is very under par for an enthusiast store, especially when people come through the door, and they dont realize you are going to buy something.

Not a bad shop but you have to go in on the right days. Im not a know it all so I take a lot of the advice I get from hobbystores to heart. There are a couple kids there that have lead me astray on more than one occassion. So buyer beware. If you arent talking to one of the adults youre likely to get misinformed. From what I can tell Fridays are a definite no no. The two kids there are more concerned with chatting it up with each other than actually helping customers. When they did finally help me it resulted in 3 trips to and from to exchange the items. The owner finally had to help me out and he was nice enough, but come on, I have to ask for the manager or owner to get a part?! My advice, Hang on to your manuals and dont judge this otherwise great shop by the lackluster children who work there.

I bought a Dominus AWD electric car from this shop 2 weeks ago. I bought a new car because It has been 12 years since I drove my RC 10T Team Truck which is now in pieces in my garage. I am happy with my new purchase. The price was right to get me back playing with RC cars. Now, the transmitter has gone bad, the trigger is stuck in full throttle. I called Hobby Town and the sales staff answered the phone within three rings. I told them about my problem and they DID NOT HESITATE to offer a replacement to the transmitter if there is a factory defect. I will update my review once I have made it to the shop and can deal with this situation. I live 30 miles away from the nearest Hobby Town, so it will take a free weekend to get back in the shop.

Horrible return policy and this is a franchise so dont buy from another location and try to get the "Home Depot" or "Nordstroms" return policy. New minimum wage luckily does not apply to these folks cause they get paid what they deserve which is under $10.00 an hour I hope. Manager probably lives with his mom and is power tripper. Been a long time since I just wanted to grab a guy by the throat and let him learn a little bit more about life and how a person should treat a customer that just walks right in off the street.

Its sorta like stepping into a car lot...they listen to upsell you...and say they dont have what your looking for and try to sell u on something else. Been going there for over 15 years off and on and they only look for your $$ and due to being handled like a dollar bill and not a person I stoped going... I only go there if I abousolutly have too. There r some great hobby stores out there and HobbyTown USA in Tulwilla is NOT one of them! ...People.. BUY ONLINE instead of paying 2 to 3 times more! This aint right folks!

Made two purchases from them and one I had to buy new batteries as the old ones in the unopened box were old. Wednesday to Friday and one of the motors on the other one quit working. I usually buy Amazon as Im always covered, but this time I did not. If you have the money to toss away, this is the shop.

Went to this place thinking that I would have to continue spending lots of money on a particular belt that kept breaking on my car. The guy behind the counter showed me how to install it so it would not burn out so fast. so far the belts are lasting at least twice as long as it used to.

I have never been to a Hobbytown USA before and I was very pleasantly surprised. Their customer service was outstanding! They helped me find a gift for a client and met all of my needs, even thought I had a lot of them. It is always nice to enjoy excellent customer service.

Bought a battery charger I was not satisfied with. They would not even exchange it for one I may like better. You should know exactly what you want/need before you shop here. Price is OK, but knowledgable sales staff would be worth a little extra.
