I bought 5 keyboards, only one of them worked; i bought 5 dell mice from them, 2 of them didnt work; The older gentleman wouldnt exchange them for other ones, or refund them. i went to buy an imac from them too, decided to test it using software, and as of the time of this writing, all four iMacs had major failing hard drives (like 11,000+ logical and physical errors on device) in them, and the guy wouldnt knock 20 dollars off of them since Id have to be replacing the drive with a 50-100 dollar part myself. Buying from their computer store at grey bears is like playing Russian Roulette with a loaded pistol; Is grey bears great? yes! just, not the computer store. Leave the recycling to grey bears, dont be the victim that ends up re-recycling it at their thrift store.

the gray bears have been in my family for a while I support them all I can even when theyre cranky sometimes Im a gray bear to and every once in a while I get cranky also go there for the deals because theyre everywhere and have a great electronic store even though its a little overpriced sometimes it still a good deal you can also take almost any kind of recyclable down there and get rid of it, just be kind and put it in the right bin because somebody really has to sort that stuff out and its not right To put your stuff in the wrong bin.

Beside having a thrift store with the usual clothing, books, and sundry household goods, Grey Bears also offers a very comprehensive recycling center that goes far beyond paper and cans. You can recycle e-waste, metals, appliances, and much more. Please check their website or email them if necessary for your recycling needs. You can attach images to show what you need to recycle, and they quickly reply. Grey Bears makes it possible to keep useful materials out of the landfill while providing valuable services to local seniors.

The Quality of Food is questionable. The integrity of non-profit is questionable. Selling Seconds plants, from Costco for the same money is a rip-off. Selling Wheel Chairs and Walking aid for disabled Seniors is a Rip-Off..........Grey Bears should be giving these items to the disabled. Grey Bears has a tremendous amount of money in the BANK. This non-profit exhibits fraudulent behavior . They Treat Volunteers Poorly. Nepotism, for the Bratton Family to cash in on

They are providing a great service to the community, and I really appreciate that. But I wanted to comment on the customer service staff in the Computer Recycling branch-- three times I have been there in the span of a month and received curt service as if I was totally inconveniencing them by asking for assistance. This is even when I had two older laptops in hand to donate. I love that they offer this type of service, but didnt appreciate the grumpy staff.

Computer Recycling Center: Bunch of grumpy rude people that dont seem to appreciate the effort or generosity of people donating working computers and supplies to them. Owner is greedy by listing better donations on ebay for personal profit. Do yourselves a favor and donate to people who can actually use your old items and give these people nothing but the truly dead stuff so they cant turn around and sell it for an outrageous profit.

Our day to day helping the public accepting donations can be overwhelming from the happiest, kindest, humble patient people on Earth to the rudest, disrespectful, distressed, low of the low that you can imagine do come along at our donation tent. I personally stayed as helpful and reasonable as I am and get through my day!

This is a great thrift store with many different items. They have at least three separate buildings where you can find everything from antiques to electronics, furniture to books and household items to construction tools. The inventory changes regularly and they have sales to move merchandise regularly.

Computer Store has changed for the better with new, tech savvy, helpful and friendly staff. The former manager and the volunteer mentioned in earlier reviews are gone. Plus, the store is more organized, more items, and a $79 complete desktop sale ongoing. Earlier posts may want to try them again.

Grey Bears provides produce and baked goods weekly to #hisantacruz, the local hostel. They get great berries, salads, and the best scones. Awesome way to be aloha aina/ ecological stewards.... Went to their half off sale today. Got two newer wetsuits in our size for $9 each! Sweet!!

They take electronics for recycle and re-sell. They sell a lot of used stuff-computers, peripherals, cables, adapters, power supplies, lots of hard to find, mostly older stuff. Books, furniture, housewares, some tools, camping gear. Very diverse.

This is a great cause to donate to. I especially appreciate their thorough efforts to provide a recycling facility. The second saturday of the month is half price but fighting the crowds may not be worth the savings.

Its a great place to drop off unwanted furniture, clothes, electronics, and doodads. The brown bag deliveries they have once a week is a great service to the community and the volunteers are great to work with!

This place is great for finding that uses item you may need. I love their computer department. Why spend $25 on a Cat 5 cable when they have it for $1.

They are very picky about what they will and wont take with everything you bring to donate. If you want our donations you need to be more reasonable.
