Lauri Campbell was an absolute charm and is the reason these guys are even receiving a star. Amer Alazzawi (the finance manager) on the other hand is a typical salesman. He promised me a 2.99% loan based on my credit, when I received the bank paperwork the apr had jumped almost a full point to 3.69%. No one could offer an explanation as to why. He also sold me a CPO extended warranty and a Platinum Maintenance plan. There was an issue with the maintenance plan rite off the bat. I was specifically told(by Amer) that it included ALL of the factory recommended services. So I made an appointment the same week for a 40k service, as the service department could not confirm that it had been done(purchased with 41k miles on the vehicle). Being a DSG I know that I need to do a tranny service every 40k. I expressed my concern and was assured that it would be covered. I show up to drop off my vehicle and was informed by service that transmission fluid and filter(along with a number of other VW recommended services) are not covered under the plan I purchased and it would be $400 roughly. When I asked why Amer would sell something under false pretenses, I was told that sales basically says anything to make a deal and the customer is left to figure it out. So I got ahold of Shahid Warraich (finance director). I explained my situation and asked why a transmission service is not covered. He said that VW does not specifically state transmission fluid and filter as "recommended" but it is highly "suggested". Yet if a warranty issue arises and I cannot prove that I have serviced it regularly, they may deny my warranty claim. Are you as confused as I am yet? Anyway, I informed that I would like to return my maintenance plan. They said no problem and that someone would call me the next day. That was 4 days ago.........

We had a quick meeting with Lori at Capital Volkswagon on a Sunday to tell her what car and options we were looking for. We specifically wanted a 2015 Golf TDI with a choice of options. Two days later I received a text saying she had two Golf TDIs with different option levels and both the color we were looking for. We went in on Saturday and she had everything arranged for us to test drive. The process was very easy and she delivered on exactly what we asked for. We bought our new Golf TDI and were out the door in just over two hours. In addition, she worked everything out so we could store our old Golf TDI at the dealership while we processed the Volkswagon buy back settlement option. She also provided advice and support for getting the settlement option complete. This is the second car we have purchased there and the process is quick and honest. The sales manager keeps the process honest feeling and transparent. The finance guy was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions, spending extra time with us to resolve all issues. Great job again guys. Thank you.

Bottom Line: very good experience! I read some of the reviews of Capitol Volkswagen and I am surprised to see basically 2 types of reviews, Very good and very bad and not much in-between. That does not affect my experience. I have been looking around for a new car for a while and I test drove a few different models. So last Tuesday I went to the Capitol VW Dealership and told the reception that I was interested in a Passat. Dino showed me around and pointed out several models, especially pointing out a Passat TDI SE Diesel. I told him that I would be back soon. He told me to call first and ask for him. So on the following day, Thursday, I called Dino and left a message that I would like to test drive some cars. When I got to the dealership I found out that Dino was off, so Jeff volunteered to help me. I told Jeff that I had already committed to Dino, but Jeff assured me that they all worked as a team and there would be no bad feeling. This all proved to be true. I purchased a new 2013 Passat TDI SE Diesel and I am very happy with my purchase.

I met Lori Campbell when I returned my 2013 Passat TDI to Capitol Volkswagen. Before I returned my car, I called Lori for questions about my car accident which might devalued my car. Lori answer my questions clearly and help me on the issue. After returning my Passat, I look for another "new" used car. Lori is Very helpful and she is the best car saleswoman I have seen. She is very patient to help me choose the right car for my need. Finally I narrow down my choice to a Acura MDX AWD for my future need. There is absolutely no push from Lori. She keep sending me the suitable car information every month. I am very picky on the car color outside and inside combination. I am also very sensitive to price. Finally I get the car I want in more than 5 months of searching. Thanks for Loris great help. The loan and paper process is also very smooth. Overall it is a friendly business environment for customers. I am pretty impressive the business style and I am an overall very satisfied customer. I will buy car again from here in the future.

I purchased a 2015 Golf TDI which I love! But the experience here was less than desirable. One of the car sales people spoke to me like I was a 5 year old. Then the finance person was telling me I made a mistake by getting my loan through my credit union. She told me should could have done much better. I would think that she would thank me for the check I was handing her for the car. She also found it interesting that I had never purchased a car before. They also delivered the car to me with a scratch on the bumper. I filled out a survey that VW sent me and within a day or two the dealerships custom care department reached out to me. They want to bring my car in fix the scratch, detail my car, fill it with gas and give me a loaner so I dont have to sit around and wait. I do have to say the customer care department is doing a great job thats why they got 3 stars. I will see how the service goes today!

I brought my car in to have a battery replaced under warranty, however I was charged well over $400 for services that I didnt approve, not to mention that I drove my car in, but had to have it towed out, and the battery that I needed and requested to be replaced was not. I purchased my car here, and used to always have it serviced here, but never again will I. I also made an appointment, but my vehicle was there for two days. My service manager told me this is because they were busy, but whats the point of an appointment. I understand that they werent going to be making money on a warranty replacement, but I am now out a lot of money, paid for a battery from another mechanic, and the repairs that I was charged for were under a recall, which means that Volkswagen paid them for the repair. I have a complaint lodged with the bureau of automotive repairs, but I have yet to get an explanation from the dealership.
