I ordered from Farmgirl Flowers not long after Christina started the business. My girlfriend and I like to keep fresh flowers in the house, but without having the time to go to the florist or flower mart, we often rely on whatever the supermarkets have available... which is definitely hit or miss. This seemed like the perfect solution.... someone doing the selection and arranging for us! I ordered lilies and let Farmgirl do the rest. I was also curious (and cautiously optimistic) to see how this bicycle delivery service would work . Why not present a challenge? I went ahead with the recycled glass jar, just to see what those guys and gals at Cupid could do. What a wonderful surprise when the doorbell rang and I was presented with a beautiful flower arrangement that looked like it had just been picked! Any misgivings about two-wheeled transport vanished. As for the flowers? It was the perfect mix of lilies, greens and other seasonal flowers - simple elegance. And most importantly... it passed the girlfriend test! We were able to enjoy the arrangement for about twice as along as any we had ever put together ourselves. This is what happens when you hand select the best ! Thanks Christina for a wonderful service.

The flowers delivered have potential to be my favorite, but I am not sure this company has perfected their nationwide shipping process. I live in Chicago. I received flowers for Valentines Day, and though they were perfect when I first opened them, within 2 hours of clipping and placing in a vase full of water, the edges of many of the flowers browned, and the orchids and tulips wilted. The only plant left after a day was the greenery, one calla lily, and the thistle. Farmgirl Flowers was kind enough to ship a second bouquet, as they assured us that the flowers should be able to be enjoyed for much longer than a day. The second bouquet arrived very promptly, which was great, only problem - the roses were already wilting, and edges were browning. It is now day 2 of having the new bouquet, and though I am following the Farmgirl Flowers care instructions, the tulips are again dropping, the roses are opening quickly and petals are falling off. The orchids are droopy also. The snapdragons are fine, but thats about it :( I just think they may want to look into their nationwide shipping methods, perhaps some quality checking by friends to see how often this is happening, since Im sure its not just me!

Farmgirl Flowers just might be the best florist in town. I love Bi-Rite and Church Street Flowers, too, but Farmgirl provides the best value, delivering bouquets starting at $40. First, Bi-Rite doesnt actually do delivery, so while you could pick up flowers along with your groceries, office deliveries are much more efficient with a delivery service. And more importantly, the arrangements are out of this world. They are even more gorgeous in real life than online, they last and last. I love their miniature arrangements, too; when you get a tall bouquet with just a few stems, it can sometimes look skimpy, but this isnt the case with these great centerpieces. Putting all this aside, my favorite thing about this company is that it is truly sensitive to its impact on the environment in a revolutionary way. With bicycle couriers, locally-sourced, seasonal flowers, and repurposed vases/burlap sacks, is there really any other way a florist could do business in a more environmentally-friendly manner? I cant think of one, so way to go, Farmgirl Flowers!

Im seeing lots of 1 star reviews from non-customers who are just vindictive people writing for no other reason than to try to hurt farm girl flowers ratings. They are angry because the owner didnt take the deal from Marcus and because she displayed her frustration with sexism in business, which really does exist and is not talked about as much as it deserves to be. She was strong in sticking to her % limit in negotiations with Marcus and I frankly was proud of her for not caving (I smiled a little) By the way, shes right to be annoyed by the sexism she has encountered. One of my own experiences:... I tried to buy an ice cream franchise from an owner who wanted to retain the property and lease it back. Even though I had worked at one in my past and I offered him full price, the seller sold to a man for less money because, he said, he felt like the man would do a better job running it and I was a single woman. Stay strong. Ignore the haters. Ignore the haters. Ignore the haters.

Ordered from Farmgirl for my moms birthday earlier this week. The flowers shipped overnight right on time and I received a FedEx notification when they left Farmgirl and when they arrived at my moms house, which I loved. The arrangement was GORGEOUS and she was so happy with all of the beautiful varieties, especially the sweet greenery and the ranunculus. I will be ordering from Farmgirl from now on unless I need to do something last minute (I think you need to order at least 4-5 days in advance, so in those cases I will still go local). Also, I ordered the "Big Love" arrangement, which was accurately described because it was jaw droppingly large. The total price with delivery is what I would usually spend on a nice arrangement anyway so I thought it would be smaller...nope! Huge! I will probably order the next size down in the future unless Im trying to really knock someones socks off :-) Thanks again, Farmgirl!

Farmgirl flowers are absolutely STUNNING!!!! My husband sent them to my work as an early Valentines day surprise. The box is adorable! When I opened the flowers they were secured in place, which a lot of other companies dont care to do. The flowers are wrapped in burlap and wax paper!!! The bouquet was just absolutely gorgeous! Not a standard red rose affair, this bouquet included flowers like: cabbage, lillies, and orchids! I am not a standard romance person, so these were so ME! The flowers were all sourced from California and they were in perfect condition! The card had perfect (and funny) instructions on how to care for your plant AND it included temp tattoos! *SO AWESOME!*. My flowers also included a little gift that had heart sunglasses, candy (several types!), face mask, bath salts, lip balm, and little cut out hearts! GO TRY THIS COMPANY! I will never EVER order from anyone else!

I received a bouquet of peonies from my fiancé for my birthday earlier this week. When I opened them, one of the peonies was already brown/dead on the edges of the petals. By the next day, instead of the partially unopened peonies/buds blooming further, they were all wilting and looking shriveled. By today, most of them are brown and they look dead. I followed the instructions exactly on how to care for them (taking them out of the packaging, trimming the stems at a 45-degree angle, giving them flower food, making sure the stems aren’t touching the bottom of the vase, and changing their water). Peonies are my favorite flower and while delicate, I’ve never had an arrangement arrive looking so forlorn and turning brown within days. I tried calling the businesss number, but no one ever answered even though it was during their business hours. I had to resort to e-mailing them.

Ordered Farmgirl Flowers for the first time last week for my MILs birthday (yesterday). Disappointed they arrived a day late (couldve been them or FedEx) but couldnt be more happy with the end result! Especially with online flower companies, a first time order is always a test of how nice the product is in hand vs the pictures on the site and we can confirm that these were just as GORGEOUS delivered as they were picking them out online! Plus, they have fun add-ons to boot like the Fab Four box we selected- eucalyptus soap, candle, lip balm and toffee in this one. One very deserving lady is a happy camper, which makes my heart happy!! ❤️❤️❤️ Update 9/22: received a refund for the shipping today- not in response to a request from me (I get it, things happen), no heads up to even let me know, just credited the $25 shipping back to me. Consider this customer extra delighted :)
