Dear Luna Stores: I took my two sons to your store near La Mesa today. It was such a good experience I just had to write to tell you about it. We spoke to a man named "Ian". We traded 14 old games for 4 different used "E" games -- I was glad to find that you still appreciate the "vintage" XBOX games :-) This man Ian was so good with my sons, listened to them, and searched the store with them giving them his advice on what they might like that is rated "E" or "E-10" (the only thing my wife and I allow them to play). He was super patient, knowledgeable, and made us feel very well assisted for sure. It was first class customer service, above and beyond. I would recommend your store to any parent who does not have a ton of time to research games before buying. You just cant get that kind of treatment at Best Buy or Gamestop. Thanks for the great experience.

Overall, Luna is an okay game shop. They have a wide variety of games. And the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are generally on the high end though for most of their games, and thats before tax. They also seem to be a bit careless when it comes to the cartridge based games; placing pricing stickers on the labels and such. Also, their offers are pretty low for the most part when you try selling them your games or consoles. And if you try buying a gift card to their shop, they kinda rip you off. For example, a $50 gift card I was given as a gift, cost $54 for some reason, whereas no other place does this. Honestly, if you live in the East County and are looking for retro games, Id reccomend checking out J&SVGS instead. They have way better deals, and amazing customer service.

For those praising game stop hear this, try and buy a NES or Sega console or even a game from them... Thought so... Youre missing the point without Luna Games wed all be shopping on eBay hoping to high heaven that it works when it arrives. I enjoy that i can buy an NES game on Thursday play/beat it over the weekend then show back up on Monday trade it in for a 3ds game to play and so forth. People do you not remember what it was like to browse and ask questions/opinions of the folks in blockbuster. Now we are stuck with Netflix and Amazon. Luna Games is awesome, never a complaint, they gave me a fair price for my trade-ins and Ill be back again and again.

This is a great retro video game store. Most of the prices are below average eBay prices and the staff is definitely helpful. they pretty much carry the entire range of retro video games, from Atari 2600 two Xbox One and PS4 games. All games come with a short warranty for Test a short warranty for test plays. Luna has another location in Pacific Beach as well and they do have different inventories at both places. They can also check inventory in the other store if they have something you are looking for in particular. Definitely stop by if youre in the mood for a retro video game trip.

Ive been to Luna Video Ganes at least 6 times now, and every time I go Im always over joyed and cant wait to go back, the staff there are very knowledgeable, patient, and polite, they always have great deals on games, and other console related items, and every time I go I always seem to come across a rare or collecteble game, me being a game collector myself I always admire that, going there is always the best choice for picking up any vintage game or console, and theres always a surprise to look forward tooneverytime I go. Highly recommend!

First and last time I walk into this place, I went to that place so they can fix my sons 3DS XL , first of all the guy was rude , they really didnt care about my nintendo, they just gave me a receipt. So they call me 5 days later telling me that my 3ds could not be repaired ! Ok then i pick it up , same thing no explanations they just game me the nintendo and thats all (worst customer service)Now I am trying to play with my kids nintendo and apparently it has more problems than it had before !! I am pretty sure something was exchanged !

I was VERY dissatisfied with their so called "service" They manage to be both unfriendly and unhelpful. If your looking for a place to get your 360 fixed I would look somewhere else. I left my 360 here, expecting to find out if they could fix it or not in 4-5 days and they gave me the run around for a month before telling me they couldnt fix my 360. This place is very unreliable and they seriously need to work on their customer service abilities. But if your okay with that, then good luck.

I will not deny the vast selection that it offers, but this does not compensate for the heavy prices. Mario RPG incomplete- 60 bucks. I got a copy off ebay for half that price. My friends and I saw much of that when we walked into the tightly cramped location. Its worth checking out if you live in the southern portion of SD, but not worth the 25 minutes it took us to get there.

Only $60 to fix my 360! Microsuck charges $150 and it still breaks! RLOD fix far better than Microsoft! They fixed mine and it has worked now for over 2 years. It only lasted 1 year when I first bought it. I am glad they are here so that someone can fix systems that break. Microsoft should be sued for making such faulty systems! Thanks Luna for saving the day for me!!!

Just went for the first time- small store but a very good selection. The staff was friendly and courteous. The prices are matched to ebay- if you think about it, thats awesome. Rarely can brick and mortar compete with online prices. I traded in two games and they paid very well in store credit. I highly recommend this store.

They have a great selection of video games for all systems, and even sell all the popular video game systems new and used. even rare ones! They have very fair prices, and will trade things with you for fair prices. and even pay you fair for your used games! He also cleans and repairs games and systems.

Yeah the other day in was in their with some games I was going to sell but when I show the guy the games he wanted to take my games to his them to his computer and look them up and I said here are the name of the games he told me "Its not like Im going to steal your games " lame

Pretty decent prices. I like how they clean your items for you. The only thing I did not like about the store is that the staff members seemed exhausted and did not want to talk to their costumers. Overall, I give this place a 4/5 star rating.

Do not believe their claims of vintage game units as “refurbished and like new” It is total BS! Better off taking your chances on Craigslist and cleaning units with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol—that is all these guys do anyway!
