New to OB within the last year. Like almost every other town there is likely a Petsmart or Petco around but this store is actually very competitive so if you live in OB definitely give them a shot. While their brands are limited (you can look at their website for what they carry) they will special order your pet food if you ask. I personally had a great experience while shopping for new dog foods. I brought my dog with me into the store to check it out, mentioned to the woman working that he seemed to be uninterested in his food... what did she do, she pulled out about 4-5 sample bags and let him try each of them to see which flavors or brands he might be interested in. VERY AMAZING! Great customer service and very friendly, ill definitely be saving myself a drive out of OB to buy food.

The owner is friendly, but the documentation process was very poor when adopting. There is no mention of any kind of refund policy anywhere, which I found out only later. I adopted a pet here for only a few days and found it incompatible with me. They took the pet back after making you sign a release form or else you cant even try for a refund. From then on, it is all a guessing game as to whether they will refund you anything. In the end, I was able to get 50% back, with the other 50% taken for no reason or explanation as to the cost. The amounts and costs all seem to be just made up on the fly. I would advise against adopting here. Also, when you are adopting, they will try VERY hard to sell you their products (being a pet store). Youll find much cheaper products elsewhere.

This is my favorite pet store!! The owners are very friendly and helpful. Although it might not have the selection as some of the big stores, the prices are just as good.

Locally owned by an actual San Diegan. The products are exactly what I need. The prices are competitive, and best of all I can walk there. This is exactly what OB needs!
