Im a new rider, also a big rider. I came in to buy a new helmet I was trying on some helmets that I couldnt even get on my head, I picked a brand I new that they would have my size. Went up to someone in the department and asked if they could help me find the correct size I need, I immediately felt as if I was bothering her with the attitude she was giving me. She gave me a helmet that was one size too small and she told me that they run big, so instead of arguing with her about it I went to try it on and it would not fit correctly after I told her I need the 5X she sighed and rolled her eyes and went to search for the helmet. So long story short she found a helmet I could try, it fits and I wanted to get a few extra things on it and would have to get it ordered. As Im ordering the helmet I asked for a certain color specification as I was telling her the color I would like, then she stopped writing on her paper looked at me for a brief second like Im stupid and makes the proper adjustments. I felt bad for bothering her but at the same time it really pissed me off because its her job, she shouldnt have attitude with people for expecting her to do her job. Now with that said I also have had good things happen at this store for the majority I have decent customer service and feel comfortable and welcomed walking in the store, the majority of the crew is very nice very helpful. But I didnt not aprecitae the help I got for finding a helmet I need.

Terrible customer service. I live out of town and I needed some motorcycle gear, so I called to see if I could make an appointment to get new tires mounted. Im told no, you just have to come in. I carry in my tires and wheel and set them down near to the tire machine. I ask the 5 guys in the garage bay if someone can help me with a tire mount. "No, we dont do that, go to parts" Of course there is no sign indicating a parts dept, so I ask the mechanics where it is repeatedly while they BS 15 ft away, with no response. I walk over to where the tires are and there is one guy talking to someone, I wait 5 minutes and there is a brief break in the conversation and I ask the employee if this is the parts dept. He walks away with no acknowledgment. The customer said "I think it is" It goes further down hill from there with absolute rudeness by the parts employee, until I just say, "thats enough, Im leaving and took my wheels and left. My 30 year relationship with Cycle Gear is over.

My wife and I are starting a new hobby by getting dirt bikes. We went in there to buy gear hoping to get some knowledge and suggestions. And anytime we ask for help from any employee, they would just roll their eyes like we were inconveniencing them...At their job!!! They would just stand in a group and shoot the breeze and not ask anyone if they needed help. And the one girl we dealt the most with was a complete b!@%# to my wife. Which infuriated because shes the sweetest person ever. And the only reason we kept dealing with her is because I just ended up wanting to inconvenience as much as possible and make her earn her paycheck. And that is not my personality to do things like that either but customer service means a lot to me as I am in it as my profession too. And they need a serious lesson.

This is a great place to go when you need a wide range of anything motorcycle. They have quite a large selection. More apparel than parts. But better than average. They carry most brands and even have a discount brand of most items. So if youre looking for the best or the least expensive, theres a good chance they have it. Just watch their news letter or get on the email list for sales notifications. Thats when I go. I seem to save more cash, and time that way. The staff are not always available, but when they are not with other customers, they are right there to assist. Wish their dirt selection were larger. But the street bike folks have it made.

Great selection if you like Cycle Gear brands, Sedici, Bilt, etc. If youre looking for something else, try their online store. Everytime I have gone into the store Ive had good experiences with their employees on the sales floor. Theyve been very helpful, took a lot of one on one time with me to help me find the right fit for gear that I would end up buying online anyway, since it wasnt in the store. The occasional time that I do end up purchasing something in the store, Ive almost always been met at the register by snooty girls who seem to be burdened by me making purchases.

I am writing about my online experience. I ordered some track boots at the discounted price for a trip the following week. 3 days before my trip I got an email saying they are out of stock. I asked them to find similar boots and match the price. They said that they would not do that despite their 100% satisfaction guaranty. Very disappointed and feel like they advertised a discounted product and switched it at the last minute. Now I have a trip and I will be going elsewhere to get boots. I think they call this a bait and switch in business school.

Good prices, good customer service, big selection and convenient access. It is the wall mart of motorcycle parts though. Not high quality equipment to say the least. If you are okay with going to harbor freight for your every day work tools, then you will love this place. It is very convenient if you need to grab something short term. Great for tires, helmets, gloves and battery purchases. Love the employees but most of the merchandise lacks durability.

the store is well supplied. even with a very common shoe size, i found boots on sale that fit. cycle gear was on average 32% more expensive than online. i do not shop to only save money. sometimes i want to hear about our sport, ask questions & buy suggested items. when i buy online & save 32% i lose all of that. just fyi. i still buy as much as i can online. i hope that encourages cycle gear to reign in their prices a bit. nice knowledgeable staff.

Cool place to go check out stuff but make sure to buy online. I called and asked about tires, they do sell but you have to bring the wheels off the bike. $25 if you buy from them (10%-15%) more then online retailers then if you bring in you wheels & tires off the bike + install is $50 each if not bought from them! Guess Im not buying tires from them. And I was put on hold for 5 minutes and had to call again to get someone.

Well...Its Cycle Gear. Year ago, Cycle Gear used to have a much better offering of gear. They now push their cheap (price and quality) Bilt line of products. I now tend to do as much of my shopping on Rocky Mountain ATV as possible. They have cheaper prices, two day shipping to the Sac area, generous return policy, free shipping with a $75 minimum order and a huge selection.
