Bought a 2008 Chevy Equinox from this dealership in February,and they were kind enough to give me a 3 month warranty on the car.headlight was out when I bought the car didnt realize it till night time,they fixed it the next day,horn didnt work and a missing door handle to the passenger side,they took care of that after setting up an appointment.those were minor things!now the first month of having the car the radiator fan blew out for whatever reason,took it in immediately and was told it was my fault and that I must of hit something!they replaced it..so heres my bigger issue,my car started making a clunking noise when I would turn into park or make u-turns,it would literally jump as if I hit something it would do this every now and then and I mentioned this issue within my warranty,the mechanic took the car for a test drive and looked at the back tires and said he seen no obvious signs of anything and to come back if it continued!almost as if he could careless what I was talking about!so the problem got worse!the noise had now turned into loud grinding noises!so I took it back to the dealer had him test drive it again and he could hear exactly what I was mentioning,they spent a couple hours supposedly looking at the car only to come out and tell me they have to send the car to a specialist because they dont know exactly what the problem is,so Dennis told me hed call the next day to see when they could set up an appointment..waited and waited for days never heard back from him!so I called and got the run around about Dennis not being there,that id need to call back next week,so I continued calling for weeks and kept getting the run around from these guys,kept being told to "call back" or "so and so isnt here" meanwhile my car overheats because of bad fan relays that should have been replaced when the fan went out,from what my repair shop told me,cost 400$ to replace!i called once again to auto star motors and this time was told there "mechanic is on vacation in Alaska"!i immediately felt like I was being lied to..as of last week I called and asked if the mechanic was back from him vacation and was told "the mechanic never came back,he now lives in Alaska" and that they dont have a mechanic right now!bythis point Im livid,because now I feel like they are playing me and taking me as a complete joke!!ive never felt so betrayed in my life!!!of course after all the run arounds with them my warranty is up!i feel like they purposely played me to get out of fixing the problem with my car!!so now its going to cost me 1600$ to fix my problem which is a bad rear differential!something that hasnt just accumulated over the past few months,the differential was bad when I first purchased the car and they ignored the issue when I first mentioned it!i feel like they knew what the issue was but didnt want to deal with it or pay for the repairs!not to mention the 2 bad rear tires on the car that was there when I got the car,thats also gonna cost me because the car is 4wd and it cant have 1 or 2 bad tires on the car without replacing them all!!im am so shocked of how shady these people are!to just leave me for dead,to play all these games like Im stupid!im a single young mom and my life depends on this car and now Im stuck with this huge financial burden!ithought they were good people but I was so wrong!my car is a lemon!ive never felt so cheated in my life!such a rip off,Im so disappointed in myself for buying a car from this dealership!Im never one to write bad reviews I always just read them,but with this situation I had to let people know to seriously beware of this dealership they are legit shady people who are quick to get the car off the lot and leave you abandoned with a never ending problem CAR!

Eugene was our salesperson and he is so kind. Definitely doesnt seem like youre dealing with a salesman. We were buying my daughter her first car.. its a good idea to research their inventory before hand because, like every dealership, they want to make money. We found the car we were looking at online and it was a great little find. It had been very well taken care of, but Auto Star didnt overprice it like they could have. Quick, easy experience.. they worked with every little thing I requested, over and above! Thanks Eugene, Joe and Luis! UPDATE* They tried to convince us to buy a truck that had been in an accident which they didnt disclose until we saw the carfax. So i didnt want to do business with them anymore but they were persistent and talked us into buying a different truck from them. It was missing components to the rims ,which they said they couldnt do anything about, and only had one key with no keyless entry. Its a beautiful truck and runs great BUT its been close to 20 days and they havent paid off our trade in! I spoke to Luis and he told me to go ahead and make a payment... i gave them thousands of dollars.. $4300 to be exact and now theyre telling me to make a payment on a truck i no longer have. 5 more days and i get a late fee. Ill update again with a resolution.

My wife bought a car at auto star motors twice already.Its a small friendly place but they have any kind of car you need. They also let you choose a car you like and if you dont like any at their lot they will go to the auction and buy a car you like . Which i think is pretty awesome. Thats what my wife did .She told them which car she wanted and they looked around and got her such an amazing deal. She paid less than what she expected . She got this car a little over a year now and she still loves it so much, its such a beautiful and reliable car. she couldnt be any happier .The car has not had any problems yet . We only had to change the tires and thats about all .The staff over there are very friendly and do not push you into buying a car like other places do , they let you choose a car you like. I will always recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a car.

I bought a car and paid them in cash!! Less then 2 weeks after having my car like another reviewer I had transmission problems and I had to buy myself a rebuilt transmission and they said they would put it in. It took them over 2 weeks for me to get my car back. I had to go to the DMV since the car was missing a plate and get new ones which cost me money then I had to do a few other things too! It was horrible. I have had the car less then 2 years and have not driven it too much and I just found out that I need a whole new transmission rebuilt a second time. Im taking it in where they sold me the transmission to have it fixed and if I find out that its not the rebuilt transmission that I bought then Im going to do everything possible to make sure this shady business pays dearly!!!! Dont fall for these people go somewhere else!!!
