The Palace Market is the main grocery story serving Point Reyes Station locals and tourists. Its a low-key market, small in size, with polite service and most of the basics you need for daily meals. The shop includes a deli, produce section, supplements department and dry goods. Positives about the Palace Market: A commendable selection of organic and natural packaged foods. Kudos to the Palace for carrying the best possible choices like Traditional Medicinals Tea and Spectrum Naturals Oils - the types of organics that West Marin folks count on. Thanks to the small size of the community, the market is never overly-crowded. Competent, pleasant staff. Unpretentious atmosphere. And an obvious high point - the location. Theres no place like West Marin! The Negatives - The produce departments organics section leaves something to be desired. Its small and produce is often past its sell-by date. Weve seen green potatoes, rotten oranges and wilted lettuce being offered to customers. Thats simply not acceptable, especially in a community like this where so many people are concerned about healthy food and willing to pay top dollar for fresh organics. We havent found good artisan-quality bread here. Theyve got the purple-bag special that so many grocery stores do that simply isnt gourmet quality. Prices are high, but this isnt a surprise in Marin County. All in all, we enjoy ourselves when we shop at the Palace Market. Theyve come through for us many times and we think they take their responsibility as the regions major food supplier seriously. West Marin is gloriously free of chain stores, and locals do right to continue to support this small, independently owned market.

For a small town this was fantastic grocery store. Fresh produce, deli, meat, and large variety of products. They had a large variety of ice cream and gelato. What I liked most was the Double 8 buffalo milk gelato. It was the best gelato I have ever had. May favorite flavor was Fior Di Latte . Worth the trip to store just for that.

We tried to get sandwiches but the counter was not well organised and not enough people were working. We waited about 5 minutes then left as no one seemed to be getting served. Good grocery selection though. Im from New Zealand so maybe dont get USA prices but the cheeses were really expensive!

This is a wonderful part of Point Reyes Station. Fresh produce. Large cheese and alcohol selection. Food made to order at the deli in the back. Loaded Quesadilla is a must! Only down side is the price of most of the items at the store. However, freshly made food is reasonable and very tasty.

Great place to grab a sandwich, snack, and chips after a hike or run in Pt. Reyes. Note: There are pre-made sandwiches (all delicious!) immediately in front of the deli counter at the back. You can skip the line by picking up one of those instead of waiting for a custom made sandwich.

Great for getting picnic items, but some items are pretty pricy. EXCELLENT CHEESES!! Great deli in the back, incredible sandwiches and salads. Lots of awesome snacks with a focus on local, organic and unique. Plus, parking and sometimes theres an outdoor grill going on. Mmmm $6 hotdogs.

Great market with that small town feel, yet still an impressive selection. Beautiful produce, natural foods, Cappuccino Its-Its (what??? Yes- Cappuccino flavor, baby, and its even better than youre imagining), ice and other items for campers. This is the best market in the area.

This little supermarket is great! I am so pleased with the selection. They have all of the name brands but, they also have all of the fresh local herbs, veggies, meet, hand made candys. The customer service is great as well. The enviorment it very relaxed. Badass place ;)

Your average small supermarket. Prices unfortunately made this place unattractive (ie: OJ was $6 for one half gallon). The good thing is that they had everything we were looking for. Also an additional bonus was the soft serve they sell at the back of the store.

Ordered two super burritos, only had meat, 60% rice, and a tablespoon of beans. Lacked the salsa, sour cream, onions, cilantro, and guacamole. Even if I orfer the "regular" it was still missong items. 16$ for rice in a tortilla. Never again.

Typical price-gouging market in a remote area. $25 for two boxes of waterlogged firewood. Id only go here if you have no other options. If you need to do any serious shopping, its worth a pretty drive to Petaluma to load up on supplies.

Large selection of organic and Non-GMO products. A lot of local products as well.. I stopped here via Highway 1, showing my lady the best that North California has to offer (her 1st trip). I will be back time permitting of course..

Good selection of grocery items. However, I could not recommend the breakfast burrito more. Fried egg, potatoes, cilantro, chorizo, cheese, sour cream - the thing is a beast. Well worth the $7 price tag. Come hungry.

Rating is for the chiliquiles, which are outstanding and unfortunately only served on the weekends. Sandwiches and burritos are also generally great – ideal for taking on a hike. Needs better veg options, though.

Breakfast sandwich for $4, quick and hits the spot! Burritos for lunch are well worth the $8. A rather good beer selection, particularly the 22 ouncers. Local products - cheeses and wines, etc.

Great place for take out lunch. They make sandwiches and have a modest hot lunch menu. The fish taco was really the best Ive had.
