My worst experience at a Best Buy ever: No surprise that there are plenty of uniformed employees milling about and talking to each other, yet none of them offer to help or even make eye contact as I look at LED TVs. Thats pretty standard for Best Buy. But things get nasty when I went to checkout. Im carrying a new LED TV and there are 3 cashiers waiting on 3 customers. One customer finishes and that cashier walks off without making eye contact. Another customer finishes, and that cashier talks to the remaining cashier who is having some problem with her register before he too walks off. The remaining customer leaves and that remaining cashier says she is finished, but cant help me because she has a problem with her register. The manager walks in from outside, walks past me to the troubled cashier as I ask if they are going to open another register/call another cashier. The manager ignores me and walks away. He comes back about the same time as a few more employees show up and asks everyone standing around, "whats wrong?" I say that I want yo check out but 2 cashiers just walked away and the remaining cashier says she cant help me. He says, "I wasnt talking to you, Ill be with you later". I say, "you really seem to not want my business". The manager says, "thats fine, goodbye". Im floored and go to take a picture of this guy and he says "go ahead, I dont care" as he turns his head away from me. This is one Silver Rewards member that will never shop at this Best Buy again, and I may just quit shopping at Best Buy period.

I received a video game as a gift from a friend and they wouldnt even let me exchange it, unopened since I dont have a receipt and "they sell those games everywhere". In fact, you could make that argument about almost every single product in that store, and yet my UNOPENED package was not allowed but an open box of wires can be returned without a receipt. I have consistently had terrible experience with their customer service, in fact the phones been ringing for a good 3 minutes while Ive been writing this because I need to talk to a rep. I wish there were more options like Frys nationwide. Support your local electronics store, NOT BEST BUY On another note, NEVER EVER USE GEEK SQUAD. 90% of the time, instead of actually finding out the problem and fixing it, they will simply format your machine, tell you its your fault if you didnt back up your data before they came over and then charge you over $200. This is not from personal experience since I know how to fix my own machines, this is what has been reported back to me from MANY friends and family. Again, call your local tech head to do the job, there are many small ISPs out there, such as Internet Frontier off N. Main where the employees will actually spend the time to FIX your machine and charge you a fair price, regardless of how long it takes.

Preordered the Samsung galaxy s8+ from best buy in order to receive the Samsung Immersive VR Experience Box for $99, which they advertised in store. I received the phone the next and was told to go home and type my information in on Samsung website to receive this bundle, but it was not available anymore. I then return to bestbuy, where I talked with the manager, Aaron, who said he would be able to take care of everything for me. Aaron calls Samsung and when they put him on hold, he hangs up and says "this is going to take too long, heres is there number you call them." He then went on to say that he doesnt care, and that hes been having problems with other customers, about the same thing, all day. Aaron also said that hes the head manager and doesnt care about my problem with his lack of service, because hes the manager. Aaron then proceeded to clock out and leave the store. This is not how you treat customers, especially when they were promised something by bestbuy sales representatives.

I dropped my computer off with geek squad to have the screen repaired. I was asked which phone number, and contact I would like the order under and updated it with my own since it was a gift. I was quoted 2-4 weeks and decided to check in 3 weeks since they had to send it out. The repair cant be found because my number is not in the system. When tracking my repair online they ARE STILL awaiting the "part" and "repair is taking longer then expected. There is absolutely no way to ask when I can expect my device and even the geek squad at the store I dropped it off at claims they too dont have a number. I was told they have 30 days or they will "junk" my laptop. I was provided with tons of excuses about back orders etc. but seriously, no one can tell me how much longer it will take? I also was dismissed rudely when checking in because they were busy and had to call back. Horrible process I will never use them again.

Great store to buy your electronics from and great extended warranty. Only thing Is I payed for the extra warranty service and was told when I got it that they would replace laptop no problems if anything happened to it. Well about 6mo. Later the screen starts separating from the case and I use my computer for work everyday so I figured Id get a new one like promised and I brought it in and was told they would send it out to manufacture and get it fixed or replaced within 4wks. I said what about the even trade you guys told me and they said they dont do that. I asked for a loaner to use for work and they told me to buy one and return it later on. The warranty I paid for was already one I got through the manufacturer so I paid $100 for them to mail it in I guess. Ive been going here for years and disappointed with the warranty service.

During November I went to this Best Buy to buy my Cousin an Xbox One controller / microphone. Some how best buy had screwed up and had none of either in stock (this was far before Christmas rush). FF to January and my own Xbox remote refuses to charge. So I go down there now months later and guess what, NO CONTROLLERS again! No matter what you need, this best buy will be out of it. From Printers to Tvs. The store manager approves of this and does not believe its the stores duty to stock regular items, and do basic purchasing, If need to go to Best Buy, I suggest you go to a different store that maintains a slight level of professionalism, because the Pleasant HIll Best Buy does not, and has not for years. Is store credit still store credit when the store is an incompetent turd as a whole?

How does Best Buy stay in business? I bought an electric washer/dryer combo in San Francisco store but founded out I needed a gas dryer when they came to install. So it was never installed and it was taken back to warehouse. I have called the store for a total wait time of 1 hour and 30 minutes on hold for appliances. I emailed over 24 hours ago and Im still waiting for response and no one from warehouse has called either wondering why appliance is back! When I bought the item there were 5 sales people with only a women busy. I had to beg for help and they fought on who would not take me! When this company goes out of business it will not be a surprise.
