Just paid over $700 for new battery and remanufactured alternator. I drive off and NO A/C. I take it right back and the GM finds a vacum line not put back. The GM asked I take it back first thing. Disappointed because I asked nicely. "PLEASE MAKE SURE ITS GOOD TO GO". We will see what happens tomorrow. UPDATE. Absolute negligence. Got the keys to my car guy told me the a.c. works now. Walked up to my car to find the hood with a giant gap at the passenger side. They left the plastics hanging loose and forced the hood shut as the hood release was really hard to pull. Once I popped it open I see how the job was not complete. Drove around and gave an earful to the Manager Luis. I drove away telling myself "Atleast the a.c. works" just as I said it the damn thing stopped working. Called the guy and let him know it stopped working again. He asked to bring it back for a third time. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE SERVICE AND WORTHLESS EMPLOYEES. See pics. Plastic thing hanging down after visit to Pep Boys Panorama City.

Nightmare of incompetence - nearly two hours to get an oil change with an appointment. They were all prepared to charge me $90 and telling me that my tire rotation would be free... my car is a lease and all maintenance is covered.. they ended up charging the lease company $58 for the same service they were trying to make me feel I was getting a good deal at 90. Jaime (who kept putting his hand on my shoulder inappropriately) was just painful to work with. I literally had to walk him through his own computer system. Then they tried to sell me a balancing on my rotation my car has 5000 miles on it. Send me out of there with not enough air in my tires and one of my stem covers missing- they are really awful. I would not recommend them to anyone. stay away. My brand new car has been violated. Started knocking after I left. Going to the dealership next time.

I payed an extra $10 to have my tires rotated, on top of the price of an oil change. When I went to get my car, the tires were not rotated, but it was too late to call them on it as I had to get to work. I KNOW they werent rotated because the right side tires often rub against curbs, so the tire lettering is smudged. I got inside the car and noticed a 2 BIG BLACK BOOT SOLE MARKS on the drivers side floormat, as well as smudges on the support handles and seat. I WILL NOT BE BACK. If they cant handle a tire rotation, it makes me wonder if they even changed the oil either.

"Frank" and "Oscar" their service technician were awesome. Took our 04 cobra in for a wheel alignment, and Frank got down like bobby brown. He was able to do an wheel alignment that 2 other pep boys (San fernando and Granada Hills) refused to do because I didnt have stock rims or tires on our car. Which is BS. The only thing that really pissed me of was their service manager. This guy really needs to take his head out of his ass. But other than that service was quick and awesome. Thank you Frank and Oscar for the great customer service and support.

I had an issue where my car trunk was not clossing, like something was jammed in the area where the lid would attache to the bottom. I was helped by one of the service attendants who was able to determine the hook at the bottom had moved out of place, which would not allow the lid to connect. He attached it back correctly and my problem was fixed, best of all it was at NO COST. Not only was he fast and really nice but there was no charge, definitely will visit again!

The store is horrible, always has been. Im local so I have to go. But the staff speak to themselves, ignoring customers. They are never friendly, the guys are all look like they hate their jobs. Ive been shopping this store since it was at the other location on Van Nuys Blvd. Corporate should frequently use "secret shopper" program to see what I mean. However, Pep Boys in general is better than Autozone and OReillys due to selection, tires, and service, pricing

Called the service center and was quoted 700+ to change the rack and pinion on my suv if i had the part. I have no idea where they get these figures from when its an hour and a half job if the mechanic knows what hes doing. I called diegos total car care on sepulveda and gave me extremely reasonable prices! 250 compared to the 700+ these guys were charging! Dont get scammed by big shops like this!!

They wanted to charge me to tell me what my check engine code was indicating, despite the fact that the Pep Boys website says this is a free service they provide. I told them their own website says its free and they just shrugged and said "I dont know what to tell you." Bait and switch, false advertising. Do not do business with them.

If you go over there, dont let your car out of your sight, because if you are not there, they gona find something wrong and then they will charge you, even if only is a "disconected cable" that mysteriously was disconected, be awere of those guys. The poor maintenance that they did, I didnt realize on time and cost me a ticket.

This place sucks. Stood at the counter for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to help me and then the persons behind the counters starting helping someone that came in after me! Keep in mind for about 10 of those 15 minutes no one else was there. The customer service is beyond poor. Will never return.

Pep Boys always says it right for me and theyre everywhere from Montana to Texas. Are usually give pepboys 5 stars this particular store did have a problem but they did make it right. It was a lot of work to get it right thats why its 4 stars but it was a big problem.

Even though the website says the do, this location does not do smog or any other type of inspection. They would have been the nearest inspection station to me but, I had to go some where else to get my car Smogged.

Great to find and order all kinds of parts, but the service department doesnt have much knowledge about cars. They are sales people.
