I went to genius bar to fix cracked touch pad. There is no technician when I was in the store at 11:30am, and the staff made an appointment for me at 12:30am and send me out. Later when I came back at 12:30, there is long line and the technicians just served the customs in the order of the waiting line no matter if you had an appointment. The touch pad of my Macbook was cracked: I didnt do anything to it. I put it on the night stand at night and second morning I found the pad was cracked. I searched online, and found many users complained about the same issue: the touch pad cracked by itself without any misuse. My macbook is still under warrantee, but the manager refused to fix it for free and he is very arrogant and said he had never seen this happened and definitely there is something hit the the pad and resulted the crack. As to the other online complaints, he commented that any small things happened to Apple users turned to be big once the users posted on line. But clearly there is no product problem otherwise the manufacture will notice that.....Unbelievable Apple manager!!

I tend to like Apple stores overall as Apple seems to keep very tight control over its brand. That said this location is no exception. The service is impressive and they try to do everything they can within corporate policy to help you out (of course if your computer is older than 6 years they tend not to keep test equipment for it—though thats generally understandable). Also, the parking in this location is a lot easier than that at the Downtown Palo Alto location due to Stanford Shopping Centers lot size. My one criticism of this store is its gloriously beautiful building. Its use of steel and glass to create a high ceiling allows for a bright and airy space. The caveat is that the high ceiling with hard surfaces creates a lot of echo, so you need to be close to someone to hear what theyre saying. The other caveat is that the use of glass in both the walls and the ceiling means that during a good deal of a warm, Spring or Summers day its more comfortable to wear sunglasses in the store.

I understand why many people give this store such a poor review. I was in the market to buy a Mac book Pro, 27" Mac and an apple watch. I had a few quick question so I decided to go to the store in person. Waited until the store opened and once I walked it was totally ignored and no one was around to help me. Lots of associates standing around but none even acknowledged or asked if I needed any assistance. There were several employees talking to each other and not helping anyone. After 15 minutes I felt I would take my business elsewhere where I felt the associates where more aware and deserving of the sale. As a store owner, i would do everything I could go make sure my employees are acknowledging and making people feel welcome in my store. Not what I would expect nor typically get from Apple.

Like all apple stores you get ignored by all the apple employees who bunch up at the "genius bar" and when they find out that you dont have an appointment their small amount of interest in you practically vanishes. I stopped by to get an Macbook Air evaluated for repair, after 10 minutes of trying to get someones attention they took a look at it and came to the conclusion that it would be a warranty repair. Could I check it in? No, I had to make an appointment! I mean I was right there and all I wanted to do was check it in, but I was told that they did me a favor by even looking at it since I did not have an appointment. I know Apple thinks the format of their stores is revolutionary, but quite frankly it is chaotic as hell and like the DMV it simply chases people away.

Awful experience! Went on this Sunday for my iPhone 5s to 6s upgrade. For only about 6 or 7 people in line, it took more than an hour to move to the gate. Two store employees were outside to pre-take the information. They looked professional but totally helpless. Not mention the guy did not even explain the major policy changes. We had to wait for an hour long to go inside to learn that they are no longer able to bundle my new phone with my ATT 2 year contract plan. For that I will have to purchase through the AT&T. Maybe I just expect too much from them!!! But at least they can do this no brain required job better by stopping the jerk cutting in the line. Worst experience. Dont ruin your day, stay away from this place.

The manager at this store Alexa was rude and unethical. I approach her to confirm that my husband appointment and that I wanted to purchase the new Iphone. She confirm the appt. and she said that someone will assist me with the purchase of the phone. She went on to the next person and ask what they wanted and they also wanted a phone. She took his order and within 5 minutes the gentleman has his phone. I waited for over 30 minutes for the sales rep. I approach Alexa and inquiry why she could not assist me in the same manner. She was wordless and could not acknowledge the way she handle it. We own 2 Iphone, 2 Ipad, 2 laptop and 1 desktop. I will never go this store again. So beware of Alexa

I finally received their service after 1.5 hour waiting (walk-in ) and at least 20 min additional waiting (between the scheduled service time and actual technician service time) on Tuesday. The Macbook problem was not solved at all and they said I could come back within five days, dont have to make another appointment. Today, it turned out to be their mistake and I wasted my time again. So far I have visited Apple Stanford three times with no progress at all. (The first time was wasted bc I didnt make appointment and the walk-in waiting time was frustrating) Considering the tremendous waiting time and their mistakes, it is bad.

My phone contact list disappeared a few days ago and I visited this store for technical support. A few staff tried different approaches and were not able to solve the problem. The first technician was David. David was helpful and friendly - although he was not able to come up with a conclusion/solution. The other lady made multiple mistakes during the troubleshooting process. The other guy called Leonard was arrogant and irresponsible... kept repeating "I was here late (so I dont know what happened)". and his conclusion to my device was "your device is defective and you can go now". Anyway, it was a horrible experience.

The worst Apple experience ever! The customer service I received was really deplorable. I went in to buy a Mac Pro and as I was asking a few questions of the rep, he told me he needed to go to a team building meeting in the back office! Apparently this was a lot more important than the sale and a few questions. I really felt very disrespected, as though I just didnt matter. I walked out of the store and never came back. The store in Palo Alto is so completely different its like a different company. But the store as a whole has a really bad vibe.
