Ive gone home with other peoples medications. My medications have gone missing and other people taking my same medication have had their meds refilled "by accident because the faxes get sent by computer and we cant control those errors." I have purchased a tube of toothpaste at the pharmacy, paid the bill, and left with three prescriptions in the bag with the toothpaste. At least the prescriptions were mine - for the next week, each day I got a call saying "your prescriptions are ready for pickup" despite having called, spoken to the pharmacist on duty, and explaining that I indeed had the meds in my possession. He asked me to "bring them back into the store and prove that you picked them up." Finally, as of several days ago, I finally withdrew all of my prescriptions on file to move to an independent chain that is NOT Walgreens; the final straw was being told that my prescription would not be filled because "you picked it up three days ago." I was told I was "holding up the line" because I calmly explained that no, I hadnt picked up a prescription at that time. Sure enough, the date on the record indicating "last fill date" was three days ago LAST YEAR. The pharmacist on duty as well as the pharm techs just assumed I must be wrong before at least checking to see if they made an error. I was told to "leave the pharmacy immediately and check your bottles, you must be confused." I have given this place over 5 years of business with nothing but headaches - Im the fool for staying for as long as I have. Im 200% happier at my new place.

Unfortunately Ive had to visit this Walgreens multiple times because it is one of the few pharmacies/convenience stores within walking distance of my apartment. All of the staff that Ive encountered there has been rude and not helpful. Checking out takes forever and they never tell me what my total is or anything. But most of all, I advise that you DO NOT go to the pharmacy here. I just wanted to get my birth control prescription refilled, but I had to have my record of it transferred (which has never been a problem before). It turned into a huge fiasco that lasted for hours, with me calling them and my old pharmacy, back and forth until they finally filled it for me. I basically had to do their job for them. Even my old pharmacy told me that the Walgreens employees were being unprofessional. They tried to tell me that my previous pharmacy had no record of me -- which wasnt true, as I spoke to them myself. No one at Walgreens could seem to understand what I was talking about. I had to wait until the next day to actually pick up my prescription, because it took them so long to figure it out, and then they charged me $35 for birth control that Id been getting for $9 from Wal-Mart. Never getting medications at Walgreens again.

I went into the 5505 Telegraph Ave Walgreens today looking for an eye glass repair kit. Before I could pass the register, I hear a person (the acting store manager) tell security that I wasnt allowed in the store. I was confused, security was too he had a puzzled look on his face and went to confirm what the manager told him. I told security that Ive come in to the store maybe once or twice and that Ive never caused a problem. I asked the manager for an explanation but was ignored and never got a response to my inquiry. Not wanting to cause a scene I left the store and came home to write this review. Store security was very polite and respectful the store manager was however not courteous or professional. If she (the store manager - I wasnt able to get her name) is a representative for Walgreens then they are not being represented well and have a lot of work to do.

If I could rate it a zero, I would, primarily because of the pharmacy. Very unprofessional pharmacy staff, including the female pharmacist. She is a complete train wreck. I couldnt believe she was shouting at an elderly woman, rather than patiently explaining to her. I have seen them be condescending, rude, and downright hostile. Their computer system is a menace/liability, and they encourage you to decline consultation with the pharmacist, or sign falsely saying that you did consult. I have heard verious people also saying that they were shorted on their meds, got the wrong meds dispensed to them, etc., and that when they brought it to the pharmacys attention, staff responded angrily, rather than apologetically.

I live right next to this Walgreens, so I go there somewhat frequently. They almost never have what Im looking for, even if it is something that every other Walgreens in America has. Super glue? Nope. Knee brace? Nope. Extension cord? Nope. Last time they wouldnt even give me change for a ten. On top of that, a visit to the pharmacy always takes at least 20 minutes, even if there is only one other person there. This is a terrible store.

My local Walgreens! Ive learned I can skip a trip to the grocery store by picking up milk or eggs here as well as all the other usual household items Walgreens is known for. I even started buying some of their clothes, what a time saver! I just met Adrianna at the cosmetics counter and she was so helpful and friendly, she really has a passion for helping her customers.

This particular location seems to always have broken glass from car windows everyday. The store is smaller and cramp. I just go and handle my business then leave asap. Lines are long and people are grumpy. Be careful as panhandling is rampant around here. Parking lot now have a security in front posted on site.

During my monthlong stay in Rockridge, this was the most convenient pharmacy and I can’t say I have any complaints. The pharmacy staff is generally pretty efficient, though not necessarily the most friendly or outgoing that I’ve encountered. That said, they got me what I needed quickly and without any issues.

This place brings ideas of Soviet Union queuing to mind. Its totally understaffed and what staff are working are constantly being distracted by the drive thru window. Moreover once youve waited the requisite 20 minutes in the line, theres a good chance youll be denied service at some level.

I wouldnt bother commenting because, hey, its just a Walgreens. But PAM is so great. I like having someone like PAM at my local drugstore. She is quite friendly and immensely helpful. Dear Walgreens, give PAM a raise.

Pharmacy is a joke. Waited an hour. Then they couldnt find my insurance. Then they charged me 200 dollars for something I got for 60 the previous month.
