I stumbled upon Esqueleto three years ago, drawn by its Dia de los Muertos logo on the window. Inside this jewelry boutique, youll feel like youve stepped into the desert, but not because of cringeworthy Southwestern motifs. The store has a very hip vibe and the jewelry is on the industrial and artistic side rather than a fine jeweler. They support great artists and Im especially fond of the owners work -- Lauren Wolf. She does a lot of work in silver and gold and her stackable rings are my favorite -- especially the rings patterned after manta ray skin and the pyramid solitaire,

Beautifully curated collection of alternative handcrafted jewelry. There is an emphasis on knowing the artist here and the staff is very thorough and attentive. They were very helpful in helping me select a wedding band to go with the engagement ring that my fiancé bought from one of their artists. This is a great place to go in and browse they always have something new and unusual.

The staff was aloof and rude. I was in there for 15 minutes and couldnt get help, let alone acknowledgment of my presence. I took a photo of the designer card and ordered the earrings I wanted elsewhere.
