I had a minor mishap with my 5 month old Dell (just so everyone knows, laptops do NOT enjoy drinking milk!!!! ;-)) and popped into Staples to see if I could get an repair estimate for insurance company. While the estimate alone for liquid damage was way more than my insurance company would find reasonable, the guys that were there were very helpful with me. I wasnt ready to purchase another computer at that particular moment, however, one of the guys in sales did go over some of the computers with me and chatted about them. When I was ready to purchase a new laptop about a week and a half later, I thought I would pop into Staples to see if the same laptops were still on sale. Luckily they were. I had a young man named Christopher come over and ask me if I needed any assistance. I told him I certainly did and we started talking about the different laptops, their capabilities, my needs, etc. He led me over to some decent computers that were in a very good price range on sale that would easily have met my needs. He was absolutely NOT pushy about what I should buy, he just pointed some out and gave me the pros and cons. There was a really nice touch screen Toshiba that was more expensive than the rest that was on a really good sale. It wasnt one he pointed out to me, probably because it has the ability to do way more than I would ever need it to do (basically I e-mail, browse, listen to and manage music, watch movies/videos, Facebook, and all the other amateur things, no gaming or anything like that). He looked a little surprised, but told me that it was a great computer and would definitely give me something to grow into. Because it was on such a good sale, I went ahead and decided to purchase it. Again, Christopher was in no way pushy or trying to upsell me other products or making me feel like I needed to make a huge purchase with additional products. He helped me set up my Staples Reward Account online so I could use my rewards from last quarter, and he helped me get a couple of additional coupons to use on my purchase. When all was said and done, I paid, out of pocket, about what I paid for the computer by itself if it had not been on sale (additionally I got a cordless keyboard/mouse combo, Microsoft Office Teacher/Student Edition, and a few other items). I also have a $50 mail in rebate, so ultimately the entire purchase that night was about $30 under the price of the computer itself at regular price, BEFORE taxes....now thats customer service!! The only glitch we ran into was the fact they were out of stock. He told me he would order it and have it delivered to my house the day after next. Knowing I wouldnt be home to sign for the package, I told him to have it delivered to the store. The day I was supposed to pick up my computer, after I had taken care of all my errands, I went to the store to pick it up. Christopher wasnt there, so another gentleman, Chris, assisted me. He asked me if I had any blank DVDs at home I told him I did not and he told me I would need some since the good old days of receiving your back up disks with your computers were long gone. I asked him if I could use CDs and he told me no and explained to me the difference between the two so I would understand why I couldnt. We went over to the CDs and DVDs and he went out of his way to find the best buys as far as prices for what I was getting. Again, he was not pushy or trying to sell me something I didnt really need/want. He did suggest I purchase the Roxio software if I was going to be burning any music, so I did (it was only $30). There was a time when I dreaded going to Staples, however, this experience has completely changed my opinion of the store. They seem much more customer oriented and genuinely interested in helping their customers instead of just making a buck.

Wouldnt shop here again. Rude, arrogant manager. Went in looking to buy two laptops advertised in the weekly circular. Turns out I had yesterdays circular and today they had different deals. When I asked them to honor yesterdays price, the manager refused to come out of his office to even talk to the checker or me. Finally the guy at the register had to go into the office to even get an answer, and when he came back he said "the manager said theres no chance hed do that." Im a corporate customer and my business used to order from staples. Thats done. Forget the pricing issue, the lazy, unprofessional way he handled it means theyve lost a customer. Score another customer for amazon. These guys are going out of business for a reason.

Staples will NOT help you with defective product unless you purchase their Square Trade warranty. They sold us a defective HP Printer at the end of November - it has stopped working and is entirely useless, but their answer is - dont call us, call HP. We have a Staples Business Account and we are premier customers - it does not mean anything. They are a real disappointment.

Excellent. Everyone was very helpful and courteous. They made numerous photocopies of 10 multi-page documents very efficiently and even helped make Corrections on the computer where my flash drive didnt download the document the way it was originally prepared. Its like my office away from home with very knowledgeable and skilled assistants.

I had a project for my two year old grandsons birthday and COURTNEY did a great job of putting together the booklet I wanted to create. And, then It was ready the next day despite the fact that I got there just 1 hour before they close. Very good service!! Helpful and knowledgeable associate.
