NEVER use the notary service here. We had a time sensitive issue that required form DS3053 to be notarized as my husband was going to be out of the country when I applied for an emergency passport for my children. The notary botched the form and the US passport agency would not accept it. As a result we were not able to get passports and have may have to forfeit travel. A lot of hassle and loss of money because of simple incompetency.
