This is amateur hour. The guy refused to give me a receipt for a package. He told me at 8:30am that the package would be picked up within an hour. It was picked up at 5:30pm. I would not have left it there nine hours if he had told me the truth. UPS customer service is helpless. I had to explain to someone with limited understanding of English that a package cant get from Berkeley, CA to Madison, WI overnight unless someone gets it to an airport, and that there is no airport in Berkeley. etc., etc. Hard to believe. Their tracking system is of little use. It gives incorrect information that contradicts what the person on the telephone is seeing on their internal system so you are immediately in the midst of a hard-to-unravel "I said, you said" situation. What a pain.

The guys at the counter wanted me to pay to get things "double-boxed". I declined since I have shipped other beer glasses through UPS and Fedex with peanuts and bubble wrap. With adequate packing they wouldve made it through just fine. Instead it seems like they (deliberately?) under-packed my glasses and I received 2 out of 4 cracked. Ill pack it myself next time.

Except for delayed notifications of deliveries the staff is pretty efficient. The notices from Amazon are sent to my phone but arent logged into their system until a couple of hours later. One item sent to me last Christmas was lost in their shelves because they dont log notices for items shipped using my maiden name. Yet I get mail from previous box owners.

Rude, I came there for live scan service and they are like the only ups store that doesnt do it. And I asked if they knew where the Telegraph store was because they do live scan, and the person said " I dont know, I dont communicate with them" , no helpfulness. Granted I was in a hurry but still you have to be nice when you are in customer service

Today I dropped off a very small package and I asked for one piece of tape to close the box (smaller than a shoe box) and the clerk charged me $1! As if paying for the shipping isnt enough to give out one piece of tape! Terrible customer service! I live on the same street but I wont be using this store anymore!

I stop by here often, for shipping services. Friendly people - they *really* know how to pack things! I see smiles, even when theyre really busy. Snuggled around the corner from coffee shops and bagels - a great place to keep your home business operating.

Today was my first time at this post office. The staff were attentive and friendly, and they helped me fill out the delivery form. I like how they made it clear that I could track the status of my package with the tracking number sent to my email.
