If theres zero stars, I wouldve definitely rated this place a zero! I have a bird, cat, and tank full of fish. I bring my pet the best food out there. For my bird and my cat, i buy them food from pet country... they dont sell the stuff that petco and petsmart sells... they sell top of line food. However, they dont sell any fish or fish food... so i thought id give this place a chance. First, I have a placo, so i called to see if they have drift wood, and they told me no they didnt. So, i went to check the place out... first thing ive noticed when i entered this small place was the smell. It smelled like a bathroom... smell was awfull! temperature outside was 90 degrees, temperature inside must have been 100 degrees inside. stood there for 15 minutes and no one gave me the time of the day! went up stairs to take a look at birds and bird food... all food that they sell for food is Kaytee brand... and the birds, POOR birds, are crowded in small cages...I felt AWFUL! Went down to see the fish, fish were crowded in what seemed to be 1 gallon of tanks. Poor small African Dwarf Frogs are in an aquarium with big fish 10 times their sizes with no places to hide due to aquarium small size. When no one aknowledged my presence there, i finally asked for help, and was told that they will get back with me, 15 minutes later, no one did. and what do i find in the fish room?? Surprise surprise... drift wood! and oh, while i was there, the worker there put fish in plastic bag and blew on it and tied it up. Yeah, give the fish more of your CO2 and they will live during transport. I find Petsmart and Petco to be heaven compared to this place. Will never ever ever go there again and will not recommend it to anyone! Terrible place and terrible service!

Frequent fish/aquatic plant buyer. The last few times I cane in, the fish I bought would die within 3 days. Water levels in home tank are good. All other fish and plants in tank are thriving. I bought 4 fish on saturday, by Monday 3 were dead. I brought them in today, Tuesday, to see if there was anything they could do (as other pet stores do). The guy laughed at me, suggested it was my water levels, nope. Condescendingly suggested I didnt know about ick, nope. Condescendingly laughed in my face again. When I confronted him that it didnt seem like he wanted to listen to me, he said he did and then spit information back to me that i had given to him in first 5 seconds of our "conversation," when I tried to carry on the conversation, he condescendingly cut me off every single time. I started to walk away and he said, "Im trying to understand so I can help you." No, kid, youre not. Helping also means listening. I will no longer be coming here. Its a shame because all other workers here have decent customer service, but the man-child with the blacked out arm tattoo is a d-bag. We will not be coming back.

My underage daughter walked in there and bought a puppy and paid cash and said she didnt have ID (so they did ask and still sold her the puppy). Other pet stores have told me that they do not sell to under the age of 18. My daughter lied and she definitely paid the consequences. I called the store and talked to the owner and kindly explained the situation and asked if we could return the puppy. The owner was extremely rude and literally said to me, "Its YOUR dog now!" Fine...I ended up keeping the dog and I love him to death. However, the rudeness was uncalled for and I didnt feel that they followed professional practices by selling her the dog. My daughter definitely didnt look 18. One additional thing -- they claimed the puppy was a chiweenie. This dog doesnt even look CLOSE to that. He is clearly a terrier poodle type mix. So she paid $350 (at the time) for a dog where they couldnt even identify the breed and provided incorrect paperwork with it. Ill follow this up by saying this happened a long time ago and, hopefully, they have changed and are more professional.

They sold us an angle fish two days ago after testing the water saying it was fine. He was the first fish introduced to the tank and went to the bottom right corner and stayed there. He would not eat or move from that corner until today when he turned upside down and got stuck to the filter. I took him to the store with and sample of the water and now its our water that killed him. Our aquarium is 35 gal and we have only been operating under their instructions. They tested the water and told us how many fish (4ea and the other fish are fine) to introduce and said all would be fine. This fish was sick when we got him but they will not replace, refund or provide store credit. Careful of this place.

Staff were all very helpful and they actually knew what they were talking about it. One of the staff members looked up what we were asking him because he didnt want to give false information. THANK YOU. Also they were really considerate of the fact some people in my group have never held a lizard before so when it jumped off their shoulder they didnt get frustrated at all. The only thing even remotely bad about this store is the selection. I noticed it focused on mostly fish with a smaller section on reptiles. Their were only a few types of lizards with a lot of snakes and even a few empty cages. All in all though I have recommended this store and all of my friends love it. So THUMBS UP.

As the one reviewer noted already the salinity that is post and what you are getting is not the same. We are not talking a few hundreds either. If that was it then I could give them a three but we also have not had one fish saltwater fish live more then a week from them (have tried 4 times with 6 fish over two years) we keep trying every six months as we want to like this place as it is super close to our house but...cant get past all fish dying and also one coral. We have no problems with the two other LFS and also when we buy online so we know its not our setup. Its not like we are running a Nano tank we have a 220 gallon 5 year old tank so its not a NOOB issue with their livestock.

Great fish that are well cared for at great prices. Never bought water form them as mentioned earlier as I am into planted freshwater. Decent selection of plant, with an ever changing stock of fish. Sometimes its the basics and sometimes they get those really hard to find rare fish in. I gave them a 3 because of the poor condition their cats were kept in. All of them were sickly and attention starved, and being sold at way too young an age. That coupled with the sale of half lynx kittens disturbed me. I saw them sell on to a woman who wanted "the pretty kitty with the spotted coat" without a single mention that it was half wild animal and was going to require very special care.
