I found this store through Orijens website while looking for a place that carries their food for my puppy. I was surprised to find that this little shop was less than a half mile from my home. For dogs this store is awesome. They carry the best foods on the market from no-grain kibble to pre-prepared raw diets. I always seem to walk through the door right before they close but each time Eric is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Beyond carrying the kibble I was looking for -- and other diets that larger chain pet-stores dont carry, Ive been able to find things that I didnt want to order on-line and yet havent been able to find anywhere else, like a good (actual) bait bag for clicker training and puzzle type toys. Additionally they have a great selection of healthy treats, leads, harnesses and collars, and no-chemical bullies, hooves and chewies. The other thing thats impressed me is that they have a stand that furthers education, or where people can contribute to local animal related activities (like a jug for donations to build a dog park in Mission Viejo). In essence I think this store is great. We really are very fortunate to have it in our area.

We have been getting natural foods for our dogs (two rescued, retired greyhounds and a shih tzu) for almost two years. Keith and Katie Berger are not only wonderful business people to deal with, their knowledge of animals is exceptional! They make sure they know everything about the foods they sell for animals---and I DO mean everything! They know the contents, how its prepared, etc. We couldnt be happier with Pet Country. Spend some time with them and their love of animals will shine through, but just as importantly, their expertise will also be obvious. Thanks, Keith and Katie, for being there!

I love this store because its family run and you can tell that the people who work there really, really care about your pet. Our Cavelier Spaniel has always had a very sensitive stomach. After reading about "raw food" diets for dogs on the net - and finding the Pet Country Blog posts and then talking with the owner Keith - I was convinced it was worth a try. Winston loves it and his alergies and loose bowel movements are no where to be seen. Pet Country isnt the closest pet supply store to our home but my wife and I feel its worth the extra drive. Its like Whole Foods for pets.

Pet Country is a mom and pop type pet store with great products and excellent service. Katie and her dog Molly always greet us cheerfully when we come in. The staff are very helpful and genuinely happy to see you and your pet. When we have looked for a new or different product to try, their recommendations have been spot on every time. They tend to carry more North American-made products and fewer (if any) Chinese- or Indian-made items. They have sales frequently too. Just ask at the counter or follow them on Facebook.

I bought my Eclectus parrot from this store and I am very happy! I have had him for almost a year now and he is the most sweetest and best parrot ever! This pet store is wonderful. They give personal attention to their birds and their birds are very sweet. It is a pleasure coming there. I would recommend this store to everyone. You can tell that they take pride in their birds and their parrots are very well behaved. They also have a very good variety of healthy parrot food and great service.

Ive found my new favorite local shop. Independently owned (by super friendly people), reasonably priced, great selection. They have pet food loyalty programs which is amazing considering my little boys food costs nearly $70 per bag. Woop woop! Katie and her pups are great!
