I took my 91-year-old friend, who is legally blind, to this store today because she wanted a new pair of shoes and apparently buys all of her shoes here. An elderly gentleman waited on us. In all of my 72 years I have never met a more rude, lazy shoe salesman. He did nothing to help my friend try on the shoes; i was the one who had to put them on her feet and buckle them. The one time he did come over when she asked him to help her remove a shoe from her foot, he literally ripped the shoe from her foot, even though her toes were clearly bandaged, and caused her to cry out in pain. In another instance when he had found a shoe he thought she might like, he made no move to bring it to us and clearly expected me to walk across the room to get the shoe box. When I asked him to please bring it to us, he did so reluctantly but was very clearly annoyed at my request. I would never patronize this store with my business, and I would not recommend this store to anyone who expects friendly, helpful service when they go out to buy shoes. In fact, i would urge them to run the other way - FAST. The previous note was written yesterday, August 22. On August 23 I received a phone call from the owner of the SAS Shoe Store on Alicia Pkwy in Laguna Hills. He personally apologized for the inconvenience and rude treatment my friend and I received yesterday and promised to remedy the situation at his store. Its nice to know that someone still cares about customer service. Kudos!

I accompanied my 91 year old mother to this SAS store in Mission Viejo this evening, and even though my mother had heard that the man in charge was impatient and rude, I thought we would see for ourselves on this new occasion. Im sorry to report that she was right. The man in charge started out being helpful, answering questions, assisting with trying on shoes, but his patience with us soon wore thin. As we asked for a different size or something, we began seeing/hearing him saying things quietly to himself like "ok, whatever" or at one point when I asked my mother which color she liked best, he said audibly "Oh God!". We explained we were from out of town and asked about receiving a discount using a 1 week expired $10 off coupon. The reply was no, his computer / cash resister would not accept that. I know enough about retail to know that could have been overridden if he had wanted to accommodate us. We did end up buying one pair of shoes for $132, way over her budget, but wanted to come away with something, even though the experience was not very satisfying. We will NOT return to this store. What surprises me, is that SAS stores surely are used to elderly customers, or people with feet problems, which my mother has, hammer toes, arthrisis, etc, and then to be met with exaspiration like we did, was very disappointing. We will not return. I had heard this criticism about this particular store, and unfortunately found it to be true.

Love the shoes as they are of very high quality and comfortably long lasting. I still wear my oldest pair regularly and have had them for over 10 years. I have been in several SAS stores in SoCal and they are all a bit quirky and hickish but the staff have always been helpful and friendly

My friend went to pick up her shoes this afternoon (~3:30pm on 4/12) pre-ordered and prepaid. The man who helped her (Sentei??) was extremely rude to her!!! She had a very pleasant lady helping her last weekend when she ordered the shoes. Maybe the store owner needs to look into this!

Very high priced for the lack of quality. Customer service was excellent.
