I learned of this store because of the LiL Kings program. I ended up going there to buy a stick for my son. The sales guy marked it and cut the stick for me. He told me he could make the stick a right handed blade for my son. While being the blade he cracked it. Taped the blade and sent me home with our new stick. To find out this new stick was broken. Had to drive back to get it replaced. Btw it was 55 miles each way drive. The manager replaced it no questions. The following week went back to buy bigger gear since my 5 year old grew out of his gear. We picked up another stick and roller blades for the entire family. 4 pairs of new roller blades and 4 pairs of new ice skates. The sales guy once again informed us that the wheels were not street wheels. So I purchased 340 dollars in new wheels and hand my sons new stick cut per his measurements. Come to find out the stick was cut 2 inches to short. Was told since the stick had been cut it was my responsibility to ensure correct measurements. Then after getting home I found out they forgot to sharper the new skates for the first sharpening and the wheels for the roller blades were already street wheels. The sales person switched the standard wheels out for me for the new street wheels and didnt even know he took off street wheels and put on street wheels. So the manager said bring the skates back and they will sharpen the blades and refund the wheels. Sounds great minus the 110 miles of driving I have to deal with for a refund and to get the skates sharpened. I just had the local pro shop sharpen the skates. Make sure they do what they say and know what they are doing.

I went to Monkey Sports to buy new ice skates. The salesman who helped me was very friendly and accommodating. I tried on several pairs of skates before settling on the Vapor X7.0. I asked the salesman if Monkey Sports offered free skate sharpening for the life of the skates if I bought the skates there (Hockey Giant offers this service). He said yes, so I got the skates baked, I paid and left. I came back about a week later to get the skates sharpened and was asked to pay $6 at the counter. I questioned the cashiers reason for charging me and explained that the salesman promised me free skate sharpening. She said, "No, we only sharpen them once when you first buy the skates." The employee who sold me the skates happened to be working that day. I explained to him that I was being charged for skate sharpening. He offered to go speak with the manager about my situation. He returned a few minutes later only to confirm what the cashier had told me: basically, "sorry dude. Buyer beware." I left the store quite frustrated. About a month after my purchase, I wrote a polite letter to Monkey Sports management explaining what happened. After a few weeks of no response, I sent an email to the address on their website. They never replied to the letter or the email. I have since replaced the Vapors with Supreme NXGs purchased at Hockey Giant. The skates even came with a little HG sticker on the bottom of the boot that gives me free skate sharpening at Giant for the life of the skates. Monkey Sports, you have made me a Hockey Giant customer for life.

Recently joined a beginner roller hockey league. I had no idea what I needed and was wandering around the storm aimlessly until I was helped out by one of the customer service reps, Johnathan. He was super patient with me and showed me multiple options to fit my needs. He explained all the nuances with the different equipment and didnt try to unnecessarily up-sell me on stuff I didnt need yet as a beginner. I was able to leave the store fully equipped for the league and even got to try the gear out that night since the nearby rink had open stick time. Everything worked great! Madd props to John for helping me!

Its a new store, and very close to the related Goalie Monkey. However, I was hoping for something that didnt feel like every large sporting goods store. The only difference between this store and most any other large sporting goods store was that they didnt carry running or weightlifting equipment. I was hoping I would find something that catered to the local sporting community (local school equipment, for instance, or referee equipment) more.

Since my son began baseball several years ago, Ive purchased his equipment from this store. Staff is very helpful. But recently purchased a baseball bat that has a defect and was told that I had to deal with the manufacturer directly. I called DICKs Sporting Goods to inquire as to their policy and was told that if purchased in the first 60 days they will handle the warranty matter for you. Wish MonkeySports would do the same.

Cant say Im really fond of this place. Walk in to the ice hockey side and dont be surprised that 9 times out of 10 whoever you ask questions hasnt ever played hockey and will tell you "well, Ive heard other people say...". Ive experienced this a few times, but the latest incident compelled me to finally write about it. Fortunately we have other choices so I find myself going out of my way to a competing shop up the freeway.

This is going to sound contrived but so be it... Dave Reskey, the manager and captain of the SS MonkeySports Irvine and his crew are great. Its gotta be a tough business to have many customers only shopping the fit and going eventually buying the item online. His team weathers it all and follow through with great customer service and product and sport IQ. The store is well stocked and laid out well.

THE customer service there is awesome. We had many questions regarding sports equipment for LACROSSE. The rep. Was very knowledgeable about the sport personally. He was more than helpful, he even adjusted my son^s lacrosse catching web and how to do it himself. We bought tbe gloves there and gave us good tips. Ofcourse we are going back, they go out of there way to meet your needs.

This is a wonderful place to pick up most any sports equipment and supplies. They have all kinds of baseball equipment which is nice because we can usually get our shopping done here without having to go anywhere else. The staff and customer service are superb and always willing to go the extra mile.

Came here to get fitted for my Daryl Evans clinic. The guy helping me (forgot his name) knew I was a beginner and didnt talk down to me. He showed how to wear all the gear properly and spent almost an hour with me. I now drive here from La Habra whenever I need anything. Its worth the drive.

One of two large stores in the Orange County area that sells ice hockey gear. Pretty good selection of equipment. On-site sharpening and boot modifications. Monkey Sports also sells other sporting equipment. Good size attached parking lot with plenth of sports. Part of a national chain.

Best local lacrosse retailer in the area. If they do not have what you want on the shelf, they can order just about anything from their Texas warehouse and have it delivered direct to your home for the same internet prices. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
