Is Irvine 50% more expensive than San Diego? Apparently, because unlike the Daiso in Kearny Mesa where most everything is $1, here it is $1.50. it may not seem like a lot, but I’m an accountant so I live with percentages. What is $1.25 in San Diego is $1.75 up here. It’s not as big or blindingly bright as other locations, it’s set up a little better without the zig zag isle changes. They carry a lot less stuff. There is not as much uniformity of the actual isles, but it’s nice a clean. People here are very good at taking their basket, taking their cart, putting it away. I think the service to be slow at the register due to lack of people at the register. It’s actually faster if you have cash and can use the cash only line. No big bills people. It’s hard to write about a Daiso, if you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all.

Great deals and selection, lots of little knick knacks, gadgets, and things you wouldve never thought of, but now have to have. Only complaint is the management at this location. The younger employees/college kids who work here are helpful and friendly. The older first generation Asian staff/management come off as very curt, rude, and stiff. How bout a smile once in awhile? You have a job in Irvine in a building with A/C and lots of color. Life cant be that bad can it? Also, I know you have gobacks to restock, but a simple "excuse me" or "pardon me" goes a long way. Some people just dont get the concept of personal space. Plus, .20 per paper bag and a tax on top of that? Oh well... "Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you."

If you wanna do some retail therapy and dont want to break the bank. Daiso is the place to go. Daiso is like a 99 cent store but mostly everything in there is $1.50 unless otherwise priced. You can fill up your cart really fast with all the neat Japanese stuff you never knew existed. There have been many a trip made here where I come home with bags of stuff and I never go over $20. Daiso is located in a great shopping center where there is plenty of restaurants and shops. Also, if you are still in a Japanese mood, you can shop next door at Mitsuwa. A Japanese grocery that also has a small food court.

First, I love going to dollar stores. So this review is a bit biased. This dollar store has a bunch of things from Japan which makes it a unique experience compared to the ones you would normally come across. If youre in the market for inexpensive tools for cooking or cleaning or organizational boxes this is a great place to go. Ive even found some good tea cups here. If youre in the area definitely stop by here for a visit. They take credit and cash but they have two separate lines for them. Also, they do not accept any returns so make sure you want to keep what youre purchasing.

this is so authentic Japan. while in Japan we visited many a ¥100 store, including many daiso locations. this is very much like the stores in Japan... in fact a lot of the souvenirs we brought back ended up being sold here as well. this particular location has plenty of parking and is near a mitsuwa, so it makes it very convenient to get your Japan fix on.

I like shopping at Daiso! Almost everything in this store is $1.50. You can find just about the necessity you need in this store. However, theres no refund. All items are final sale. You do need to spend at least more than $10 to be able to use your debit/credit card. Otherwise, cash only.

I love Daiso. What a difference $0.50 makes. I dont like shopping at dollar stores because I feel like the items will break the moment I walk out (and have). For whatever reason, I find I am able to use Daiso items for years after I purchase them, and there are so many useful gadgets there.

Always make sure to go down all the aisles; not all Daisos are the same! The pricing is the same, the way you need to get 10 dollars, and no refunds. Nice snacks as always, and great selection of small little tools and tricks to use for the house hold/school life!

Charming, authentic little Japanese snack and dollar store that offers a unique selection - pretty impressive value for such a small shop. Now if we can just find decent a decent bento box to-go shop around the park that would be perfect...

Store full of cheap imported stuff. If you want inexpensive kitchen and bathroom supplies, this place is great. I personally loved it because it had a TON of asian snacks that can be hard to find elsewhere, and at a killer price too.

Great location in OC. Lots of selection for home goods at low prices. Reusable bags, kitchen, bathroom, and closet items are useful. Cute gift bags with drawstrings available. Popular snacks are available.

Like a 99¢ store, but almost everything is 1.50 unless otherwise marked. I have found excellent items here, even tools which lasted longer than some Home Depot items. Excellent for home shopping.

Guess what. I went to Japan and everything I bought there I found here. Its like a slice of Japan or the Japanese 99 cent store. Really fun and cheap! Dont forget to buy a pack of mango high chews!

What I like about this Daiso, is that its easy to navigate between aisles. is it me or is it just hot and boiling inside?
