Irvine Walmart on Von Karmen has HORRIBLE NON EXISTANT customer service. I purchased a 10x10 canopy there on 7/17/14 and it broke the second time I used it on 8/23/14. I didnt have the receipt and attempted to return it today. The first person couldnt help me and called a manager over. The manager then went to lunch in the middle of helping me. The second manager that I tracked down WALKED AWAY from me!! His name is MIKE and is a CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER. He has a 13 gang tattoo on his arm. No customer service was evident during this visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was told I could return for the same product, but they didnt have any. MIKE then looked at me and basically just blinked while I scrambled to come up with ideas. After leaving with my BROKEN canopy I immediately called American Express (the credit card I used) and put a BAN on any future Walmart purchases. However, Im still STUCK with a broken canopy that may poke someones eye out if I use it again. WHAT DO I DO????? Where is the customer service??? Ive returned an Ozark tent in the past without a receipt with ZERO problems for store credit because IT broke during its first use. WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE?? Now that I didnt get a refund or store credit I will NEVER shop there again, so the thousands I would have spend in the next 50 years will be ZERO and go to some other store that knows what the words CUSTOMER SERVICE is!!! Oh, and I feel the need to share this review/complaint on EVERY social media outlet I know!

This has to be the worst experience I have ever had at any retailer. If you look up the word dysfunctional and incompetent that would describe this place to a tee. I ordered 2 bikes online and set them for pick up because they both showed up as in stock. Received an email that order was ready. Got there and only 1 bike was available and I needed to wait 3-6 days for delivery. My bike was also not ready and needed to come back the next day. Day 2 when I took the bike I walked outside and saw the front rim was terribly bent. So I walked back in and they had the bike specialist look at it, yep its bent (how does a bike builder miss something like that????) Day 3 was called and told the bike is ready. Went in only to be told they still want to sell me the bike with a completely bent front rim at a 10% discount because they done have any others, even though I was call and told its ready. I had to now to stand in line for the refund side to return this bike. Then go to the Pick Up line to cancel the order of this other bike on its way. I have to be honest and say I will never shop at Walmart ever again after this ridiculous experience. I mean it takes effort to do your job that poorly. Do not ever buy a pre assembled bike from them because if your kids jump on it and the front wheel falls off dont say I didnt tell you so. How id this company so big when their employees are completely unable to do their job and the products they sell are junk????????????

I’ve know many have come to expect deep, poignant, provocative reviews from me, but this is Walmart people. Nuff Said. It’s a pretty big location and Parking sucks, but that’s true for most all Walmarts. For being how old it is it’s cleaner on the inside than on the outside. The best part of the place is the produce area, always stocked, good variety and right up front. The departments that suck is baby food, automotive, personal items, hygiene. The baby food selection is small, the automotive section is missing some key items, personal items like deodorant are always a mess, never stocked and hygiene like condoms are also the same. Plenty of beef jerkey and mark down blue rays. They don’t get the big rushes after work like most because of the proximity to business’ people stop in during lunch breaks. I actually prefer to do double duty at Chase, Garbanzo, jersey Mike’s and walk here than try and park near Walmart and walk to my other destination. See my tip for who not to get as your cashier. When I buy an item for $10 and I give you a $20, and you tell me I need more money, myself and the the guy behind me says I handed him a $20 and you refuse to acknowledge your mistake, yes I’ll call you manager and yes the footage will show your wrong, the least you could do is apologize. Go to the Technology location.

Walmart for those of us living on Mars the past 20 years is an American discount department store and now grocery store that sells everything from flowers, grocery items, clothing, appliances, hunting gear, and much much more. They also have an online store where you can buy furniture and other goods. I do most of my grocery shopping here and they have good prices on meat and their fruits and vegetables. I also buy some of my clothes here and the price is usually better than what I can find elsewhere. I also use their photo center for my prints and i usually get them back pretty quick. Another thing I appreciated is that I had bought a sweater and I had never used it and lost the receipt. They were able to return it for me and i exchanged it towards my grocery bill and I thought that was pretty cool because most places dont do that. This particular location has plenty of parking although it does get quite busy. They also have a money mart, video kiosk, change machine, and a Cinnabon kiosk at the entrance. If you havent been here before I recommend giving it a try the prices are great and I personally save a lot of money.

Went in for a simple clothing exchange of 1 item. I originally bought the wrong size so just wanted to grab the correct and swap them out. Apparently this was like asking if I could get the CEO on the line and ask if I could have free merchandise for life. The reason being I didnt have a receipt, I guess this automatically you puts you in some sort of "this guys super shady" club. All you need to know since the story is too long and rediculous, is that it took 3 people from 2 different stores 45 minutes to exchange the exact same pair of pants for the next size down?!?!?.......Walmart I have so many more important things to do (and most other people as well) than to get over on you for pair of $19.97 dollar pants!! For example I was late to my nose picker club that I was just voted "top picker" in, which then caused me to miss my daily scan of a random parking lot for as many pennies as I can find so one day I can have so many pennies I will be the guinness book of world records title holder for "Man with the most pennies". Lighten up Wal-mart not everyone is a pants thief, and if they were thieves then $20 pants???? Really??

While it is hard to hold any Walmart to a standard this one is noticeably bad. They are not open 24 hours and the parking lot is always full. While I have never felt particularly unsafe I have noticed a much higher presence of police in the middle of an arrest or confrontation with shop lifters and other similar types. Again this is comparing to other Walmart so no idea why this location is so frantic. I have had to stand in line a couple times for returns but always had no issue once working with a customer service representative. There produce is bad but not any worse than any other Walmart. I have had problems with them not having regular, medium size mens clothing several times as well. Also, there seems to always be an aggressive, unhinged man sitting at the exit asking for donations for a homeless organization but it does not seem the organization he is collecting for is legitimate at all, if it even exists.
