Costumer service from some of the guys at the service area pretty bad. I went there to exchange the power steering fluid in vehicle. I was told they could not just exchange the fluid without running a diagnosis first. I was told if I did not want a diagnosis they would not warrantied the work. I said that was fine, Minutes later guy comes and tells me they wouldnt be able to do the job without testing it first. I told the guy to go ahead and charge me for it. Then he is like well, we wont be able to do it anyway, because your car (car I had taken 2 days ago for same service) had messed up their machine. I felt he was just looking for excuses from the beginning. I dont think he liked the fact I told him which specific service I wanted done in my car. I do all work in my car, but did not feel like doing it or getting my hands dirty. I was very disappointed how this was handled. Came come after buying a kit from a local store to exchange the fluid and my engine oil myself. I would had paid approximately $150 for this service. Oh well. Too bad for this businesses. Because they will lose their clientele little by little.

10/22/2015 I had called in and spoke to Eric in regards to a wheel alignment for my car. Told him it was stock height and suspension. He told me to go ahead and bring it in and he will do it. When i had rolled in with my car, the service manager was like we wont be able to do the wheel alignment because it doesnt have the stock tires. Then their technician came out and was like mama listen to me, Im not able to do the wheel alignment on your car because the tires and rims are to big. Also told me that all pep boys are same that nobody is going to touch the car because no one wants to be held responsible for the thousands of dollars of damage they can cause by doing the wheel aligment on big tires and rims. Their technician is a rude lil bast@@d. Wouldnt give me a chance to speak just because im a lady doesnt mean i dont known what Im talking about. Just wanted to also thank the pep boys out in panorama city for doing my wheel alignment on my car. Their technician was able and more capable of doing it.

Store is large and employees are helpful. Service area also large and plenty of places to go shopping nearby while waiting for your car. Id give it a 5 if I had more experience in the store, but Ive only been there a couple of times so Id need a larger shopping trip to feel comfortable giving it 5/5. However, Ive found these stores and their employees to be, on the whole, quite helpful. I bought a front indicator bulb and the service area installed it for free on my car. I went to do this again with a friends car I was using for a week, but since it was a much more complicated indicator light casing I had to sign-up for and wait to get service to install it for less than $10, which was still very fair. They did try, so the effort was there, unlike many of those speedy oil change places that try to get everyone who enters to do some other unnecessary fluid flush and change. Pep Boys have never been like that where they try to oversell services.

This pep boys used to be my favorite one to go to however they must have recently changed management. I went in yesterday for simple oil change and they told me it would be a 3 hour wait to get an oil change. so I came back the next morning when they opened at 8 a.m. I was the only person there but they said they had 2 other 8 a.m. Appointments. By 8:15 no one had showed up and they still would not do my oil change. He told me it would be at least an hour and a half to do the oil change and an additional hour and a half for a tire rostation. I Drive a company vehicle and the company I work for has a fleet account with Pep Boys. Our fleet is approximately 100 vehicles. My company has to pay me and all the other technicians to wait at pepboys to get an oil change. I went to the San Fernando Pep Boys. They had my oil changed and tires rotated in 1 hour. I was the only one there at 8 AM and they took me right away.

I made an 8 AM appointment giving Pep Boys 2 days to clear 1 of 2 racks capable of lifting my work van. I showed up two days later and that manager said that they only had one rack able to lift my van but its been in use for the past few days and they dont know when they would able to help me. I asked why didnt someone call me and let me know that the rack was still in use and I could have tried another Pep Boys location instead of wasting my time. His answer is they dont have a policy to deal with informing clients they cant be helped. Never going back to them for service or parts. I loved their Woodland Hills Location, but their Granada Hills location is run by clowns.

I had issues with my tires so I came in having scheduled an appointment in the morning, for 6pm for tire service on tires I had bought at pep boys a week before with the tire hazard coverage, so the guy Andrew make us another appointment for the following day at 6pm telling us hed make sure he had a spot for us if we called ahead the next day to see if they were busy, I call them next day around 2pm Andrew tells me hes made two appointments same day for tire service at 6pm, I told him we made an appointment a day in advance what was the point man, he basically said I dont know man were just busy. Pathetic service scheduling going on here.......

Service department employees are rude. security guard was stoned out of his mind and when I mentioned this to the service department his comment was "what is wrong with that " and laughed. Bathrooms are dirty and parking lot was full due to the amount of stores located in this shopping center. I came in for a tire change and Eric told me 30 minutes wait. 1 1/2 hours later I was back on the road. These guys are in no hurry dont waste your time.

Automotive repairs part sucks. One idiot tells me he doesnt want to help me find a tire and at a later date they remove the wheel weights to do a tire balance and didnt make sure they had the proper weights until a day later, after I already discovered the problem when the tires violently vibrated on the freeway. My girlfriend brought her car here and the mechanic cracked the aluminum head torqing the spark plug too tight.

just bought 4 tires for my car. they gave me price for 4 tires 481 dollars. the associate and manager told me i can pay after job done. and guess what, i went to pick up my car price went up to 492 in 90 minutes. when i remind him the price he gave me he suddenly got upset and took the price down. I can only suggest to future customers that just be careful...
