I LOVE these guys. They are so attentive and personable. Hard to find in this day and age. I LOVE their ITALIAN sausages... but, there is an issue. They ARE SOOO DAMN SALTY. They would probably be perfect if you BOILED them. But who does that? I GRILL THEM. Indirect heat. As in, an oven. And they ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DAMN SALTY. STUPID SALTY. CAN YOU GUYS FIX THIS? Your sausages are sooo much better than any other place, how-evah, THE ARE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY TOOOOOOO SALTY!!! Can yall fix this? They would be perfect if you could knock the salt down by around 90%. Seriously. One can always add salt. One CAN NOT TAKE SALT AWAY!!!! What are you guys thinking???

I love this place. Their meatloaf mix is THE BEST. I order 3 pounds and always have leftovers for sandwiches. Also love their teriyaki beef kabobs and the chicken breasts. I cook the chicken breasts in the oven with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and they are always flavorful, nice and juicy. You can also call ahead and they will cook anything for you. I usually order a rotiesserie chicken and its always great. No need to wait in Costco lines for one. The guys that work there are awesome! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

I am a weekly customer. The whole chicken legs are the best deal in town. We also love the terryaki beef kebobs. Everytime I serve them to friends they are at Gem the next day to buy their own. We also buy our Christmas prime rib roast at Gem every year. It is truly prime grade and the way they dress them out means no wasted large sections of fat. The daily selection of steaks is the best in No. OC. Enjoy.

A co-worker recommend the Steaks from here. I order 2 Rib-Eyes and 2 New Yorks for a company Friday lunch BBQ. Home run! The REs I cut in half because they were thick and someone liked steaks well done (I prefer med/rare) the NYs I left alone. Extremely delicious, The REs are very soft and flavorful for a well done temp. Cant go wrong, if you got the balls stop by and pick some up!

We have had consistent good quality meat and excellent customer service from Gem. They have cooked meat for our barbecues then we just pick it up. They will even cook chicken or what ever you want for you. It is a great source if you are doing a small dinner party or a large event they will make it happen and you will look like a star.

Everyone I go to Gems the service is great and the meat is of the highest quality. The butchers are very helpful, I needed 20 pounds of pork butt cut off the bone and cubed and the guys did it without blinking an eye. I will continue to buy me meat and fish from Gems.

Great local butcher. Way better than any grocery store butcher. Old-time atmosphere, always incredible cuts of meat, and friendly, knowledgeable employees. Always ask for their recommendations on how to cook whatever cut you choose - youll never go wrong.

I have been going here for 20 years since college. Best Meats around and Half the price of El Toro Meats with the same friendly guys that have been there for years. Also try their beef jerky, it is a must for a snack on the way home.
