I went to buy shoes and a belt this morning. I found the shoes I wanted but not in my size. No problem, I ordered then on my phone on the JCPENNY website in less than 2 minutes. Paid and had them sent to my home. I then found a belt I wanted. The casher station had 2 employees plus a customer line of 4 people and I became #5. 5 minutes in line and it was still 4 customers ahead of me. I went downstairs to another cashier island. The same. 2 cashiers waiting on 2 guests, 4 guests in line and I became #5 again. I checked my watch again and 5 min passes and the same 2 customers still being served and still 4 more in front of me. I like JCPENNY for 20 years but this is why I shop on line. I left the $35 belt on a display and walked out. Why is the checkout process so time consuming? Too many questions, options, discounts, credit application, rewards programs. Coupons. Etc. My $90 shoes were $49.99 + tax and shipping, on line, cart, paid, shipped in 2-3 min. Your face to face cashier service sucks. A few weeks ago I was buying a mens suit. $200+. I was asked so many unnecessary questions by the cashier I left the suit and bought one at a competitor (they even helped me find my size). I was only asked cash or credit? I even paid more money for the suit. I like your merchandise offerings and prices. Just be nice, take my money and say thank you.

Employees were frustrated. Many were very helpful. Management was less helpful than regular employees. They dont have every size for girls, an a poor selection in what they do have (a wonderful woman was very helpful in finding this small incomplete or depleted section). I bought 800 dollars in stuff, more than half will be returned due to getting two left shoes, two different size shoes, damaged clothing, and wrong prices. Wokers you can tell are very unappreciated. Whoever orders for the store doesnt listen to what this community needs. Corporate should send someone out to fix this store. Really disappointed Pennys! You have been my favorite store for 20 years!

I went in for a jacket but they didnt have the size I needed so they placed an order for me online. I didnt realize until I got home that I had been charged double for the jacket. I tried calling the store to see if it could be corrected over the phone or in person. No answer on several attempts, which is ridiculous since this is a business. I tried calling the customer service number for online orders and they told me I had to wait until I picked it up and then return it. It just seems like such a hassle for an order that was JUST placed 20 min before...

My #1 favorite shop to buy my clothes. I support this store because I would be really depressed if it ever closed. The Mens clothes they have is exactly what I want to wear and be seen in. The Brands from Stanford, Golden Toe, Levis, St. Johns Boy, IZOD and Nike are all I want to Buy and Wear. I also find that J.C. Pennys always has really good sales and Im always getting GREAT value from them. I will shop with them to the day I die, or as long as they stay in business. Customer for life!

I had a great experience in the mens shoe dept. Even though they were remodeling. The salesperson Carey made me happy with my shoe purchase for my dad! He also told me that the kids shoes are now down stairs. Great job by Carey and all of Penneys staff! Wendy

Worst optometrist in Fresno County! Avoid if you actually want quality care. Staff is rude, and optometrist refuse to give you your contact prescription (which is probably against the law btw).

Yes they do have good deals and prices. What I dont like is there horribly long SLOW lines. Waited in line for over 20 mins with only 4 people ahead of me. Slowest cashiers in the world
