The five stars are for sales representative Danny Ambaryan who walked us through a good number of options until we found the one that worked for us. I am happy to report - my sister is the proud owner of a 2012 Honda Civic as a result. The deal we got was over and above what we had prepared for - let alone hoped for. We began the car buying process two weeks ago shortly after my sisters (now former car) pooped out for the last time. Faced with a major repair bill - or sacrifice for a new car - we started on the new car hunt. We were clear as soon as we walked onto the lots of the car dealerships: "We are serious buyers - but wont be buying today. We are making the rounds and will be returning to the dealer who treats us the best." Notice we didnt say we would return to the dealer who gives us the best deal. Lithia Hyundai presented a strong offer ON PAPER for the Elantra. But when it came to the how they treated us -- Lithia Hyundai failed spectacularly (Im talking about 24 year old sales rep. Alex). Dont waste your time with Lithia - just go straight to Clawson Honda. After a weekend of car shopping - it continued to be a toss-up and we decided it was necessary to keep doing homework. Over dinner we discussed potentially visiting other dealerships in Selma, maybe drive up to Modesto. Not even two hours after leaving Lithia Hyundai did my sister get the FIRST of what would be MANY calls from Alex from Lithia, and one of their finance managers - pressuring her to return to take advantage of a deal that wouldnt last. An interesting thing happened that following Monday. My sister received a call from Danny from Clawson Honda thanking her for her time. No heavy pressure, no claims of having "great news" for her that she needed to come in immediately to take advantage of. Danny did ask if she had found a better deal - to which my sister advised him she might have at Lithia. But, wouldnt be making her final decision for a few more days. Again, he thanked her - and asked that when she was ready - he hoped shed give him a chance to compete for her business. Following hours of comparing cars and dealerships online, Clawson was still near the top. My sister decided she wanted to do business with Clawson because, "Danny treated me with respect." And that was it. We called Danny and let him know wed be returning Saturday afternoon. We test drove a couple more cars, negotiated the terms of the loan, and more importantly for us - the bumper to bumper warranty - and walked our with a deal that was better than we expected for a new 2012. This is also the part where I feel the need to give thanks to Greg - the finance manager who took the time to not only ask about what my sister was looking for in a car, but also to understand my sisters life as a teacher, and single mom to two young boys. My advice to any new car buyer within 100 miles of Clawson Honda of Fresno: 1) Do your homework and know what you are prepared to pay for your car and any bells and whistles you want. 2) Visit other dealerships if you must. a. Stay away from Lithia Hyundai 3) When you are ready to make a deal - do yourself a favor and stop at Clawson Honda and ask for Danny. Tell him Elizabeth and Pablo say hi - "and take it from there". You wont regret it. We didnt. Thank you Danny and Greg.

Overall: Its a typical dealership. They have an agenda, they have a product to sell you. They are in it for the American dream... uhhmm theirs - not yours. Just be cautious and use good judgement, do your homework in advance. Sales: Never had the joy of buying from them. No feedback to provide, sorry folks. Parts: Folks are kind and fairly helpful, some more knowledgable then others. Stock is surprizingly great compared to a lot of small dealerships. I have more than once been pleasently suprized they had some obscure bit in stock. Service: Actually Clawsons is the most recent dealership I have taken any offroad vehicle too, willingly, for anything not covered by warranty. I havent completely trusted anyone to work on anything I own since. Id rather break it myself honestly. That was a decade or more ago, so things may have gotten better? They arent bad as far as dealerships go, I suppose. I have freinds that I trust their judgement that speak highly of them, which is confusing. Someone over there must know what they are doing. Maybe I dont have the connections to get the good mechanic? Personally Id trust my baby more with a crackhead and a hammer - at least with that I know what to expect. Itd be cheaper then paying them to diagnose, "repair" parts I asked them not to touch, and then return it to me still not running.

the day after my second big purchase from this place. I let the salesman know they forgot to give me an item that I payed for as soon as I got home via text message. The following day I call at 917am. To get my item and was rudely given a ( I just got to work I will call you back). Then received a text stating they gave it to me and Id have to go down there again and bring more proof of ID. Or the lender will not approve the loan. Well how many times does one need to photo copy my id? Scare tactic! Once I arrive I ask to speak with the sales manager. I get ( hes real busy it will be awhile) he never came out. Then the same salesman brought me the item stating ( heres another one ) after all was said and done he said that 5 times to me. I told him look at the videotape you never gave it to me and yet your continuing to accuse me of already having it. REALLY?????I buy what I need and want and expect to get it after payment...... To top it all off, the other salesmen were mobbing around me snicker rude remarks. All because someone on their end failed in making sure everything was squared away with their repeat customer. This is the last time I will ever buy something there. Totally in the right yet disrespected to the end.

Knew Clawsons was a well established business and so I was confident they could fix my sons bike which had an electrical problem that caused his battery to overheat. To summarize, a very bad experience. Initially, I paid over $350 dollars for a voltage regulator replacement with a new battery. A week later, the battery was dead and seeping. I took it back and they said it must be another problem such as the stator. Supposedly they ordered the parts. I waited a week and heard nothing about whether the bike was fixed. Called and they said they were still waiting on the part and that it would be in next week. Went in the next week in person and they said they were still working on it. I asked them what was wrong. They were evasive and couldnt give me any explanation. Said it would be done by the end of the week. Went in again at the end of week. They handed me a bill for over a $400 bill and told me they couldnt fix it. Their explanation was the bikes too old. My son was driving the bike 3 weeks before and it was fine until the battery problem began. I refused to pay the bill for work I didnt authorize and which had no result. They were mad and told me to get the bike off the premises. As mention bad experience.
