Terrific experience three times over! Ive worked with Big Chris, Irish Ray, and Vito and cant say enough about their excellent customer service skills. Because unemployment and temp work didnt pay the bills, I decided to sell jewelry and coins received over the years. As Bay Area native, I knew Granters was established and reputable. Ill take it a step further: I knew it was safe. The "Cash for Gold" pop ups are shady and sleazy, with their folding chairs and sign spinners, not to mention illegal. I wasnt going to step foot in one of those establishments. Of course, Granters pays top dollar for precious metals -- thats why theyve been in business since 1943. Check outGranters website with the ticker showing actual values in real time. Great news - the next time I visit Granters, it will be to purchase rather than sell. I just landed my dream job. I am glad that Granter Jewelry & Loans is around. I Just recently found myself short on cash due to an unexpected expense that had come up. I really didnt know what to do. Then I remembered that I seen Granters on San Pablo Ave., I went in to see what they were all about. I remember that the staff was very nice and very patient with me, (since I had a lot of questions). They took they time to explain how they worked and how they could help me. I went home and brought back to them a camera to use as a pawn. They gave me some cash and that surely helped me! I went back the next week to get my camera back and I thanked the staff. I have a full time job, but even so, sometimes life can throw you a curve ball when you dont expect it and you need cash right away. Thanks Granter Jewelry & Loan!

I had my first experience with Granters Pawn Shop in El Cerrito, CA, on 11-17-15. I felt welcomed and a sense of customer sensitivity from Chris, an extremely experienced and knowledgeable gemologist. Chris was very patient and explained to me what to look for when dealing with pawn shops. I was nervous and confused as to what to look for, ask for, or even what I wanted. He spent unlimited time with me to get a complete understanding of what my options were...greatly appreciated, Chris. I would rate my experience on a scale of one through ten, as a ten+! Irish Ray and the boys at Granters are true professionals. While most of what they deal in is precious metals, coins, jewelry etc., theyve also got what amounts to a small museum of antique firearms, swords, and other things of rare beauty. Everyone who enters the doors at Granters is treated with professionalism and respect, whether theyre buying, selling, or putting together a loan. Easy parking, easy to find, and easy simple terms. Granters is a top drawer business in every respect.

Found ad for grinder on craigslist. Called to confirm it was there. Got off work and showed up 2 minutes before closing. Still had excellent customer service and spent the time to discuss other used tools for sale. Clean, secure, comfortable. I was impressed. And yeah, its a business that posts stuff on craigslist. Theres no way to register on craigslist as a business, and its low margin advertising for used stuff. Thats normal! No idea why captain one star down there is upset.

Wow what a great experience, I am a grad student and this is my first school summer and I caught caught in a crunch between the end of the semester and the beginning of my summer employment. Granters gave me a fair price and were so nice and the shop is clean and friendly and the whole process was easy and comfortable. It wasnt anything like you see in the movies, lol or even on TV.

It was a great experience for a first timer. Chris was fair and excellent to work with. I really appreciated hisi pleasantness and patience in explaining the process. I felt safe and feel that my family heirlooms are in a safe place. Maybe even safer than at home. Was a very great experience and I would definitely use their services again. Kudos to Granters.

There is no variety at this place. I mean come on, these people dont even have a car for me to rent. Instead, the man offered me jewelry. Cmon! U can at least sell used tires, or apple slices! But nooooooo! I am being nice today so instead of giving a 1 ⭐️, I give it a two ⭐️
