My good friend and her fiance got her wedding set at the Tacoma store yesterday, and the sales reps at that store are wonderful- exemplory customer service. Expecting the same level of professionalism, I walked into the South Center Mall store today. The first employee we encountered was "helping" another couple (awkwardly complimenting their "Kardashian look-a-like" baby and making the parents uncomfortable), she completely ignored us, not bothering to at least wave over a co-worker to assist us. We passed two more sales reps who said nothing until we were having to squat and look at details on engagement rings to see them and only then did one of them give us her completely divided attention. She hastily helped us, handing us rings, not bothering to attempt to explain anything about them while talking to other co-workers while we viewed the rings. Frankly I could have walked off with a ring and she wouldnt have noticed- her service was that bad. We were looking to purchase a semi-mount and place a 1k center stone, and wanted to spend in the $8500 range. That isnt a sale thats going to make or break the store, but thats definitely a sale that this particular store will not be getting. Thanks to the excellent customer service in the Tacoma store, we arent writing off Ben Bridge as a whole but this particular store needs some serious customer service training.

My fiance and I were looking for a simple engagement ring. I wanted something with a sapphire as the centerpiece, which seemed to confuse most jewelers, but at Ben Bridge they didnt question what I wanted. The person who helped me quickly showed me to their variety of sapphire rings and within 1 minute I had made up my mind. Zales and Helzberg Diamonds were the first places we looked - their display lights were blinding and at Zales they seemed very annoyed I didnt want a diamond for the centerpiece. At Ben Bridge, the jewelry is displayed in nicely lit cases, and they listened to what I wanted. We even found a wedding band to match my engagement ring.

basically i was treated very badly, the salesperson yelled at me because i had a simple problem that needed to be solved. wont ever go to this location again.
