Our family had Home Depot deliver an install a brand new Washer/Dryer stacked unit at our home today. HD used a subcontractor to deliver and install the appliance. The subcontractor left the home unannounced, and when we went to test the unit the dryer made a horrendous sound and the washer did as well. The entire unit was obviously, audibly defective. We have since called Home Depot, the contractor which brought the appliance, and the warranty provider, all of whom have executed a smoke-and-mirrors game to pass the trash around. As of right now, the problem remains unresolved and Home Depot has been of no use. We have spent over $20,000 at Home Depot this year in home repair supplies; we will NEVER shop at this store again. This is pathetic service of the lowest order. The warranty is worthless, the service is defunct, the entire Home Depot operation is tantamount to a scheme of swindling their way out of all liability and support for their products. Home Depot, you will lose an enormous amount of business from our family and friends if you do not resolve this immediately. Your reputation and credibility is tattered as of now, perhaps you can muster the shame to clean up the mess youve made here. Other customers, caveat emptor - buyer beware - this company should rename itself to the "Home Despot" for its swindling subcontractor liability-shedding schemes.

Only one person cutting wood I waited 25 minutes as he cut 10 inches off each piece of long trim for someone. I asked him for 2x8 in Cedar 8ft boards he claims he didnt know anywhere where they were at I would have to go find them and bring them to him. I found someone with an orange apron in the lumber section he actually was from the garden area but he offered to help me he could not find Cedar 2 by 8 by 8 foot we checked online yes the store has them but he looked at me and said I do not know where to look. I found another lady over on the next Style with an orange apron she said she was from the front desk and she knows nothing about Lumber. I hunted again I could not find it the irony is a month ago I bought two 8-foot pieces of cedar and had them cut to the lengths I wanted. A customer wanted to help me but he did not want to lose his place in line to have wood cut this was 4 oclock in the afternoon. I know this is not the busiest time but please , where is someone to help me in the lumber department. I am 75 years old I cannot lift the 8-foot pieces I was going to have them cut in half so I could manage them. My experience was extremely frustrating.

Two stars is generous. Almost every time I go there, I ask myself - why did I come here? Poor, poor service, if you get any at all. I tried to buy 2 locks and get them rekeyed. I had to go to the customer service desk. The gal there paged someone to take care of it, but after 5 minutes, nobody showed up. I went back to her and she asked me what I wanted. Yeah, I was the guy standing around 20 feet away from her getting no service, yet she couldnt remember making the page. I had her page again. After another 5 minutes of standing around like an idiot, I slammed the locks on her desk and left. Then theres the R.O. unit I purchased from them. I went there to buy replacement filters. They still sell the unit, but not the filters. Brain donors. As to the xenophobic jerks posting here about the day laborers, youre right. Immigration has ruined this country. Why dont all of you Europeans go home? This place was much better before you showed up. With any luck at all, these day laborers will stop trying to find work and break into your houses and rip you off to put food on the table.

This place is a joke. I used to work at The Home Depot in college down in Southern Cal. Ill admit, the service was bad, but nothing like this. There were two guys in the plumbing department I was trying to get help from, they couldnt have tried harder to ignore/avoid me. One literally turned his back on me and walked away like I wasnt even there. When I tried looking for a manager, the cashier I asked didnt want to get one for me. She pulled some random associate that was walking by and asked what he knew about plumbing which he admitted wasnt much. I explained my conundrum, that I was trying to fix a bathroom fixture, and knew exactly what I needed but couldnt find it. He started spouting off some stuff that made NO sense and eventually took me to the sprinkler isle. Im not knocking this guy for not knowing his stuff, I just think its crap that there were people that could have helped, but they were too busy talking to each other and trying to do anything but their job to take five minutes to help someone find a part. Ill not be going back.

I have had a mixed experience at the Concord Home Depot - it varies by department. The paint department is the best ever with a few older fellas who staff the desk and are so efficient, knowledgable & spirited (just plain fun). I also had a great customer service rep over in the air duct area - he helped me find a very strange fitting. The flooring department is always understaffed - once a single sales person was left with a line of 5 customers and phones ringing off the hook. If I had not had my kids with me, Id have offered to pick up some lines just to take some of the pressure off of this poor gal. She tried to get a departing co-worker authorized for OT, but was turned down. Home Depot needs to throw some big money at this problem since this is a DIY socio-economic area of the county and they are hemorrhaging customers & selling opportunities & missed profit. I still go to HD for bulk cleaners, gardening supplies & paint. But, if I can get it at a neighborhood, family-owned Ace Hardware, I will go there in a happy heartbeat.

could not get my money back today for returns.... according to the returns dept, its because Ive returned to many things this year without a receipt. according to the 800 number on my rejection receipt it because it didnt have my receipts. a cashier at this home depot told me because i was over the dollar amount limit. Im home now with about 7o receipts from 6 month long job trying to find out by phone if Im now in the clear...no one can answer my question, and after being on hold for 17 minutes waiting to talk to a mamagfer named oscar... i hung up. there mind numbing incompitance at this home depot will have you throw in the towel. i travel almost always to the one in san ramon. its 7 miles one way longer drive.. and its well worth it.. Ive probably been to 50 home depots over the years, this is the worst one by far....

Not only are employees friendly, but they are pet friendly too. An excellent option for when its raining out and your dog wants a walk. I needed a unique fitting for PVC. The guys in plumbing gave me the spare fittings their floor model washers ship with to protect when shipping - the fittings I nreded ALL FOR FREE! I read the reviews about knowledgeable service. I recommend going in the weekday mornings. HuMost of the employees with good info work 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also, my uncle told me the difference between home stores is The HOME DEPOT is whatcha want for lumber and that other store with LOWEr number of customers is whatcha want for products where you have lots of questions.
