The best thing about Mountain Sports in downtown Chico is their friendly and knowledgeable staff. This shop is a golden-nugget for outdoor enthusiasts in the Northern California region who are ready to gear up and get outside. The shops clothes, packs, gear, shoes, books & maps, tents, and accessories are epic and competitively priced. Chico is lucky to have a shop like this!

Absolutely the best place to buy outdoor gear in Chico. They dont have the largest selection but anything you get here will be top quality and the prices will be good. Every time Ive been in here the staff is friendly and helpful even when Im just killing time looking at stuff.

This is not a womens clothing store, its an outdoor gear shop for backpackers, campers and rock climbers. They have awesome gear from good companies with an eye to the light weight crowd.
