My wife and I skied the Haute Route with Pro Guiding Service in April 2017 and had an all around amazing time. The tour was a once in a lifetime experience! I have been on many outdoor adventures all over the world and nothing compares to the awe I felt from being deep in the Alps; what spectacular mountains. Beyond the inherent greatness of such an amazing tour, Pro Guiding really made the trip for us by going above and beyond with their outstanding customer service. We suffered a devastating blow when our airline cancelled our flight, causing us to arrive a day later than planned. On top of that they lost our luggage, which contained our skies and technical gear for the trek. We arrived into Chamonix late at night the night before the trip was scheduled to depart with no gear. I was devastated, thinking that the trip was going to be a total loss. However, when we arrived at the hotel, Pro Guiding owner Martin Volken and our guide Rinaldo were waiting for us with two sets of rented ski gear and an awesome alternative game plan in hand. Rinaldo split from the main group and served as our private guide on the first two days of our stay, leading us on some amazing backcountry tours around Chamonix while we waited for our luggage to arrive. On the second day he drove us to the Verbier ski area, where we joined the rest of our group at the designated hut. We completed the remainder of the tour as planned and had an incredible time. Rinaldo’s knowledge, experience, professionalism and safety-centered approach to the mountains put us at ease, despite our relatively limited experience. Pro Guiding Service had no obligation to go out of its way to salvage our trip but they did so without a second thought. I give both Pro Guiding and the Haute Route my highest recommendation!

I was in a position where I had to buy boots and wasnt READY budget wise to buy boots. To save some money I bought online. The boots I bought had an intuition liner and after telling a few friends I was going to give it a go at home with the rice sock one of them asked for referrals and Mike Yosts name came up. Not only did he do a great job helping me out with my boots he did it with a smile and NO smirks/attitude regarding bringing in an "online" boot. The adjustments he did were reasonable both in suggestion and price. Im looking forward to working with him until I get the boot dialed in just right. In this whole process Ive learned two things....1) Mike Yost and ProSki are awesome and professional and 2) Probably should have bought a boot there because all this boot work that is pretty standard would have been included with the purchase price. :) I realized I didnt save as much as I thought. :) And obviously my online boot did not come with this service! So think twice before you buy online due to "budget". Go see these guys, you wont regret it!

Excellent and friendly staff from the owner Martin, the manager Mike and all the way down to the person ringing you up are ski enthusiasts that know their stuff. If you want to get into ski touring this should be your first and only stop. Saving a few bucks buying the wrong gear online will cost you way more in the long run than shopping at a place run by real mountain people like Pro Ski. On top of that they often are have great sales and prices. Highest recommendation

My first experience with this shop was in the 90s where Martin and staff fit me in racing boots and utilized cutting edge fitting. The shop has only gotten better and Gina and Martin are great to work with. Everyone I send to the shop share rave reviews. Keep in local. I know when I need new gear, Ill head there.

Went in for an eclectic mix of needs, poles, giggles and socks. Mike helped me out and set me up perfectly with a great set of goggles. The store is great, packed with all things winter outdoors. Very friendly staff who know their stuff. Highly recommend
