False information and lies just to get me to leave. Been here twice with an LCD blanking problem (screen goes completely black, but computer still runs) on my mid 2011 27" imac. These are the Macs that are part of the quality program to replace the GPU (graphics card) - known as Apples "recall" program. First time they replaced the LCD. On this visit the technician did a plethora of tests while I waited about an hour. He told me that my computer was part of the quality program because of the graphics card problem. The work order he had me SIGN and AGREE to stated replacement of the GPU. I came back four days later to pick up my computer and they instead decided to arbitrarily replace the LCD AGAIN and without my authorization. Nowhere on the work order authorization did it state anything about replacing the LCD. I asked for a supervisor (I dont think they really have any that interact with customers directly). The "supervisor" said that the technician that helps customers at the Genius Bar only perform initial tests on machines and that the "second level" techs (they work somewhere inside the walls I guess) determine if a part actually needs replacement or something else. The two ladies pawned me off to some guy who continued to tell me my computer was not part of the recall even though Im having the EXACT issue that requires replacement of the GPU. In FACT, I showed him the Apple forum post that specifically states these computers are included in the quality program (recall). There was no winning this battle, and so Im in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Apple intentionally performed work on my product without authorization and ignored the fact that my product was included in the quality program. I guess Ill be back in a couple months when the screen goes black and Im finally out of warranty and out of the quality program time parameters. Horrible operation going on here without supervision of ANYBODY. They also took my power cable when I dropped of my computer and forgot to give it back to me. First, they tried to tell me that they dont take power cables, and I agreed, but it was their mistake. Then they wanted me to drive 40 minutes to get another. Eventually, and another supervisor, said they would two day FedEx it to me. Now two days later and after one hang up and several employees not knowing what the heck I was talking about.... they tell me I have to wait two more days - most likely because they didnt send it out in the first place when they promised they would. Horrible service and overall unsatisfactory operation combined with non existent training of personnel.

I have to come to the conclusion that this Apple Store is truly the worst one I have ever encountered. It seems as if the moment they open the doors, its customer service began to decay. Now the only people left to help you are as helpful as trash. It saddens me to say as an owner to several apple products that this stores customer service is horrendous. I recently went in because when I tried to do the system update on my Macbook there was an system error that basically made my Macbook useless. Seeing as it was finals week I was freaking out about being unable to submit my papers for that week. I thought for sure that the genius bar would be able to help me out so I made an appointment on the day they had available. On the day I went in I brought my computer to only be told that I was screwed and would have to go to ANOTHER computer repair store so that THEY could assist me in removing all of my files that I needed for finals. It would cost me 500 dollars in order to be able to do that. When I asked if there was any other way, all I got was a no. As soon as I got home, I sat down googled what I needed to do in order to retrieve my files. It turns out that all I need was a 12 dollars firewire cable about 30 minutes and I was able to easily retrieve all of my files. I then went and called the apple store only to be directed to the dumbest automated service that does nothing to assist you in order to make an appointment and go back to get my harddrive wiped. Only to spending 2 HOURS on the phone trying to talk to someone who is a human being to only be told that I should have said I wanted to talk to a manager as soon as I called. How the hell am I supposed to know what to say if there are no choices to talk to someone. How can someone be aware of what they are supposed to say to an automated message when there ARE NO CHOICES! Anyways after finally just getting fed up with Apple I went down to the store, attempted to talk to one of the employees only to be told that they were too busy when I can see several employees just standing around talking to each other about their tattoos, their beards, and friends that walked in rather than helping anyone. I ended up waiting 3 hours to see someone and just told them to wipe it and after 40 minutes i just grab my fixed Macbook and left. The whole experience left me speechless because I am a lover of mac products but this customer service truly affects ones experience at this particular apple store as well as persuading people to cease in buying any future products. There something that needs to be done to help make customer service here at this Apple Store better.

WORST of THE WORST Customer Service! Every single time I go to Apple store it is always the same drill, no matter what is wrong with your phone the answer is the same "I dont see anything wrong but wd you like to upgrade?" Seems like they are only interested to sell you products. Dont be fooled, there is NO technical support there! What a joke! They will NOT help you with any repair issues, they will only offer to swap for a new phone BUT... there is a trick there too... Chances are you will go home empty handed bcz they will NOT back up or transfer your data or contacts, they will just sell you a new phone (even with Insurance u still have to pay), and they WILL KEEP ur old one with all the info in it. Dont like it, oh well, go home, back up your info and come back.. If you have problems with your phone save time and go to authorized repair shops, google them, they are all over. Dont waste your time at Apple store unless ur buying a new product and even then, my advise, buy elsewhere. Best Buy and other retailers sell Mac for cheaper with less wait and you wont be greeyed with "I just turned down bunch of people, make an appoinment" without even letting you say a word.. There is NOTHING genius about their Geniuses, they are only geniouses in being rude, cut-throat, entitelment issues, snooty. And if you try telling them "Ive had enough I am going to buy Droid", the answer will be "Go for it, any phone company sells it"... Huh?.. Unreal! Apple products are the Most overrated products on the market! They have 40-50 emploees working at stores every day, so imagine their mark-ups, and guess what your Mac and iPhone is made in China for pennies on a dollar. What Apple doesnt understans is that customer service is Everything to keep a loyal customer. Everyone and everything is Replacable! So one day when a similar product comes out all of their customers are gonna scatter like roaches! I am trashing my new Mac and the iPhone. Its worthless to me now after how I have been treated by Apple!!! Would NOT reccommend their product in any way, form or shape! Go somewhere who appreciate your business and whoes products are much more user-friendly. APPLE = GARBAGE
